Ever miss the days when you could climb up into a tree, look out at the world and let your imagination run free? Roderick Romero believes that there is no reason adults should have to long fruitlessly for that connection to nature. The master Treehouse designer has built over 65 sustainable structures for people whose ages are nowhere near the single digits—including Sting and Trudy Styler, Val Kilmer, Donna Karan and Julianne Moore.

We recently combed through over 2,000 interior design blogs, and published a list of the 2016′s Top 90 Interior Design Blogs Worth Following. We received an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response to the report, so we decided to slice and dice the data a bit to provide more insight on the blogs – specifically where they’re located and how much social influence they have, based on followers of their social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Google+).

After analyzing each blog’s followers on social, we were able to identify the most interested communities, and also where the blogs hail from, geographically!

Here’s what we learned…

We’re started off the new year with a bang by doing extensive online research about interior design with a purpose of seeing how it’s related to vintage furniture. 

After reading over one-thousand blogs, we’ve put together the 90 top blogs worth sharing. Shareability was determined by the website traffic, shares & likes on Facebook, post frequency, and overall engagement.

All 90 blogs on this list have been handpicked and determined “most shareable” by the metrics listed above, they’re in no particular order. We hope you enjoy reading and sharing as much as we enjoyed putting this together. 

Over the past ten years, reclaimed wood furniture has become insanely popular in the US, and for good reason! It brings a one-of-a-kind look to your home that just isn’t possible to replicate with new wood. 

Besides beauty, the environmental savings of buying pieces made with reclaimed wood is an eco-friendly reason to choose this style of furniture. Keeping wood and materials out of landfills is well-aligned with our mission of buying and selling locally with Trove Market.

We set personal preference aside and interviewed top reclaimed wood furniture makers Vince’s Woodwork and Vintage Addiction, and hobbyist and small business Reclaimed Wood Furniture, for their thoughts on the matters of finding and buying reclaimed wood, finding the right piece, and care and maintenance once you’ve purchased your reclaimed beauty.

Once upon a time, in true digital-age style, I met an amazing girl on Instagram. Celine is one part Oncologist (her day job) and one part design-loving blogger (her part time passion). When I finally got to meet her IRL, at the birthday party of another Instagram friend, I was thrilled to learn that she was as dynamic in person as I had ever hoped she would be—and I immediately made it my mission to befriend her.

The busy doc has just returned from one of her greatest adventures, to date, and I had the pleasure of catching up with her at the tail end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Indulgent though they may be, Peacock chairs are quite fun and particularly whimsical. Their resurgence is an homage to interiors boheme and what we suspect is also a dogged celebration of the summer months (after the past few horrendous winters.) Every once in a while, one has the absolute pleasure of coming across a kindred spirit. I’ve been eyeing Nicole Facciuto’s work for quite some time and admiring her commitment to sustainability in everything she does (and I do mean, everything). So imagine my delight when I reached out to her on behalf of  Trove Market and she responded, not only by agreeing to the interview, but also by thanking me for my “fabulous impact and presence in the design community.“

Scarlett Johansson views a piece by Ellwood T. Risk

If you’re a fan of “Californication”, “House”, “Six Feet Under” or “Flash Forward”, then you’ve likely been captivated by the show-stopping work of Ellwood T. Risk (or “Woody”, to everyone he meets).

I had the honor of getting to know Woody when it was suggested that I hang some of his work in my Venice Beach store. I did, promptly fell in love with his pieces, and purchased several for my home… including one that Woody did of me, when I was five months pregnant! You’ll have to read all the way down to the bottom if you want to see that one, so let’s get this party started. –KLP
