Tokyo Tokyo! We are all in agreement that Tokyo was the most livable city we had visited thus far. We found the people to be friendly, helpful and extremely considerate. We were only in Tokyo for a week but felt that we definitely did not see it all. Therefore we have planned our return for the 2019 Rugby World Cup! We spent most days working out in the morning and seeing the sights in the afternoon/evening. The first day We went to Harajuku St for some shopping, the Pokemon centre to live out our childhood fantasies and checked out one of Tokyo's gigantic gaming arcades. It was decided our first and only night out in Japan would be spent in Roppangi Hills. Apparently a good night club area. The only issue was trains stop running at 12am and only start again at 5am.. The night was good, nothing to write home about. After spending the last month we people who have local knowledge about nightlife, we found ourselves somewhat unimpressed. Possibly setting our expectations too high. The following days we managed to; cross Shibuya crossing (the busiest crossing in the world), walk though the grounds of the imperial palace, wonder the markets and check out Senoji temple is the Asakusa area, as well as checking out the sights from the 52nd floor of the metropolitan government building. We also managed to squeeze in the a visit to a few of Tokyo's beautiful parks, Yoyogi and Shibuya Keon. On the final day we headed to the worlds biggest fish market, Tsukiji Market. We arrived a little bit late and only managed to catch a glimpse of one huge tuna. As our time in Tokyo was now over we caught an overnight bus back down to Osaka. Our last mission was to eat Fugu (puffer fish). It was ok and we didn't die. Tokyo is a must and we will be back!
