Every time i watch the indy 500, several years get taken off my life span
one thing I respect the hell out of is little kids lying down on the floor in public. they have had ENOUGH and are ready to go HOME and are willing to be a HUGE INCONVENIENCE about it. we can learn so much from them
David munching on some meat while on the podium is such a mood lmao

Went to the national championships speedskating, then watched the European Championship from home now I'm clinically obsessed with Jenning de Boo
He now has Olympic silver!!
The best genre of Indycar media is when they’re asking all the drivers a random question, and most are giving normal concise answers, but they keep cutting back to David Malukas absolutely yapping like his life depends on it
alex palou is the athlete of sports fans’ dreams. he wins all the time. he’s a sweetheart. he’s so cute. he can’t stop winning. he’s sunshine personified. did i mention the winning? and he’s so happy.

Wait what the fuck happened to Marcus Armstrong? One moment hes driving top 6, he pits suddenly hes 14th? Huh?
According to the scale below, how Superstitious are you?
Not at all. I don’t believe in any of that
A little. I have a ‘lucky’ pair of socks but I don’t take it too seriously
Moderately. I sometimes avoid certain things out of fear of bad luck
Very. I’ll go out of my way to abstain from things I believe are unlucky
Extremely. I have many daily rituals to protect myself from bad luck.
Tanjir0se’s Very Scientific Superstitiousness Scale:
Level 0: not at all
I don’t believe in luck, good or bad. I don’t believe I can ‘jinx’ my own luck by saying a certain phrase. I never carry good luck charms nor do I abstain from anything others consider to be unlucky.
Level 1: A Little Stitious
I may have a lucky hat or pair of socks, but I know it’s probably mostly placebo. I will playfully try to avoid ‘jinxing’ myself (i.e. avoiding phrases like ‘as long as it doesn’t rain, we’ll be fine!’ or saying ‘Macbeth’ in a theater), but I don’t take it too seriously.
Level 2: Moderate
I change my behavior to some extent to avoid bad luck and encourage good luck. If I have an important interview coming up, I wouldn’t leave my good luck charm behind. I avoid jinxing myself and will try to avoid actions that may cause me bad luck (like avoiding cracks in sidewalks)
Level 3: Very
I will go out of my way to strictly avoid jinxing myself or unlucky things, like scheduling work or events around a full moon, not ever saying certain unlucky words or phrases, etc. I truly believe certain items are lucky (or unlucky) and treat them accordingly.
Level 4: Extreme. SUPER Stitious
I frequently and actively engage in rituals to protect myself from bad luck (holding my breath while passing a cemetery on the road, knocking on wood to prevent a jinx) and firmly believe I will receive bad luck or bad things will happen to me if I don’t do them. I change my behavior every day to avoid bad or encourage good luck and will refuse to do something I believe may bring me bad luck.

I love that the modern-day tumblr post equivalent of chain emails only requires me to reblog a relatively pleasant image instead of forward an email to a bunch of my friends and family members to quell my raging anxiety.
