My wife and I always speak about these inspired moments from our recent trip to South Africa. An unplanned morning errand turned into a blessing when I ran into this brother of mine. It’s crazy, I’ve been trying to get a hold of Benjamin Domingos before my trip to see if we can meet up, but never got any response back. Our first morning in Durban, I bumped into this guy. He thought he was dreaming when he saw this fat Tongan guy walking by. Haha! He called out my name and I turned and looked... with a big smile and a loud voice, I called out “DOOO-MIIIING-OOOS!!.” We exchanged handshakes, chest bumps, and hugs. We spoke for about an hour just catching up on life. We probably could’ve talked all day if we wanted. After losing track on time we both had to part ways. He mentioned that this might be the last time we will ever see each other... So I hugged him (about 10 times), told him I loved him, then we said goodbye. Yesterday I learned that Domingos had passed. Today my heart hurts but I’m grateful for the short time I had to see him. The day we met, I was behind schedule of my planned day and he was running late for work. The delays in our plans created the perfect moment for our unplanned meet up. I believe God knew this would be the last time I’d see Benjamin and put us together in that moment. I’m so grateful for His tender mercy. Until we meet again, love you bro!
