I mean, the answer to this all really depends on the survey design, right? And, more importantly, whether the elves had a hypothesis to begin with. And if they were just choosing one elf from a list of elves, thatâs quite different than ranking elves. So Iâm wondering if both Glorfindel & Ecthelion were significantly popular, but perhaps Glorfindel was more popular generally among certain populations (r), thus potentially making his p more important than Ecthelionâs, and thus making him the truly most beloved
In retrospect, Iâm realizing how strange it sounds to say Glorfindelâs p is more impactful than Ecthelionâs despite the same relative size of the p, but I donât make the rules
Also Iâm not a professor, just a PhD student who is actually pretty f*cking bad at stats
