You know, there's something very interesting about being an only child. When you grow up alone, you're used to do things what? By yourself. When you hav no direct siblings, you do what? Play by yourself. Talk to yourself. Confide in YOURSELF. And those habits carry into your adulthood. Regardless of how social you can be; the loner inside of you is very much alive. I didn't realize that me stepping back to take care of myself was ever a problem. I never thought that because I decide to roll with the group on Friday but then ride solo on Saturday was an ISSUE. I've seen so many friendships, relationships and rapports die in my life simply because I didn't roll with the punches all the time. IDK if I should apologize for being this way or keep my head up. All I can say is how I wish my "friends" could understand how it feels, to depend on yourself throughout your childhood, to keep yourself motivated, even when surrounded by your supportive parent or extended family. I wish ppl could see how it felt, to grow up in my head. And then, maybe then, will some of you be supportive of my "me time".
