So… the actor who dubbed Drago from the original Bakugan series was also a seasoned TV and (I think) theatre actor as well. I was watching an old series with a friend and he suddenly appeared and both of us were like “OMG IT’S DRAGO :O”. So since then we have decided, Drago’s day job is a lawyer…

my personal favorite characterization ofc matches up most with g1- tho after the time travel ep they kind of stoped having an interesting or unique relationship with the cons and where sort of just normal autobots. I’d like to see them accept that megatrons evil, but some of them cough SLINGSHOT cough cough just refuse to believe all the cons are evil. He’s stubborn, and he hates admitting he’s wrong and I think he’d keep insisting that not all the cons are evil. Fireflight agrees with him for the kind of opposite reason, in that he’s optimistic and the decepticons are people too guys!! Skydive is more hesitant, but defectors do exist and the idea makes his companions happy so he’ll hold it close, if not a little more hesitantly. Air raid doesn’t really care lmao, but he guesses it’s possible or whatever, and it’s not something he thinks is worth fighting over. Lastly is Silverbolt. He LOVES the idea. But he can’t say that he’s their leader and the most responsible he can’t indulge in fantasies like that! But a part of him dreams that all the cons will just magically see the error of their ways and the war will end peacefully.

On the issue of skybound though, I don’t think that thundercracker is the right decepticon defector to pair them with. I think he should be (narratively) paired with Skyfire- another “ex con” technically, who had a close friendship with Starscream**. I think that the aerialbots should stick with their original narrative opposites- the stunticons. Now, I don’t actually think the stunticons would defect and join the autobots. I think in a best possible case scenario they would fuck off to some other planet and maybe invite the aerialbots over for like demolition derbies or whatever else they do for fun. But I do think there could be a very interesting dynamic with the stunticons not fully wanting to be part of the war. In the end they just don’t have a real stake in this war- they where made for it but it’s not their war.

So I think in a more realistic scenario (or at least what I would go for) two or three of them would survive- dead end and breakdown, for sure, and maybe drag strip or wildrider. Motormaster would have that whole I can’t betray The Cause thing going on but (partially because of the influence of his team) he’d eventually sacrifice himself for the greater good.
