at his first words, she calmed down a bit. that’s good, at least she’s not going to be dealing with that at the moment.

   Seeing the hushed command settle into her the Capo shook his head, footfall drawing him further into the room. The lash barbed leer scanned the room until affixing upon the small vanity gifted to the girl not but a few weeks ago– yet another offering gone waste with her defiant dejection of such.

‘She must be talking about colorblindness…’ Asuka thought to herself. The black-haired girl tapped at her own temple, right next to her eye. “It’s with how their eyes developed. I wouldn’t really say it’s sad; they can see a whole other world that we can’t, in a way. It’s kind of like… seeing from different heights because you’re taller or shorter than someone else.”

“ oh, i see… ”

“ do you think they’d want to see colors ? i kinda want to see how everything would look if i couldn’t see colors, i bet some of them want to see how it looks with colors ”

Mustard tilted his head at the girl who had delivered the gifts and watched as she fled. He then took the time to see what he had actually gotten from the child, who was honestly just a few years younger than him.

He eyed down the words written on the paper in the childish handwriting and the chocolate that accompanied the letter.

Mustard hated this day. He was just one of those people who thought it was just some cringy holiday that gave stores an excuse to bump up prices on cheesy plushies, candy, and cards. Normally, he would have just tossed the paper without giving it a second look. However, that would be more in the case that it was just something that had randomly come up into his possession.

This was a gift. A child who didn’t even know who he was or what he was involved with had taken time out of her day to give him something. No one had ever done that before. No one cared about him regardless of holiday, gave him gifts to show that they cared, or even bothered to want to know why he did what he did.

He simply sat on the sidewalk against one of the many city buildings and just…stared at the letter. His chest tightened and he choked a little, before shaking his head and taking in a deep breath.

He leaned  a little over and smiles  for her. “How am I supposed to know it’s from you Eri? How about I get a marker and we can sign our names so we always know it’s us huh? "He  had gotten her something as well and he had to set them down on the table before he took her drawing.He would keep this drawing with him because it was his first and probably only fan letter from someone he saved, one out of a million people, he will never forget this picture.

The Roses he set on the table were a pale peachy color the type of flower that was given to someone as a thank you gift, to say they were grateful for a friendship and they had their own vase as well.

“ probably… oh ! speaking of colors, i heard that there’s people who can’t see some colors, why do you think that is ?? ”

“ they can’t see all the pretty colors in the world, it must be really sad ! ”
