In one of the moments when shes left alone the girl was quick to slip out and head back towards the place she first met Hisato at.

She hoped she wouldn’t get in trouble for this.

“Eri!” Came a familiar cry behind her. Hisato squeal as he ran through the flowers and happily hug tackled her with a joyous giggle. “You came back! You really did!” He cried.

A bad feeling came over her when he said that, but the girl only frowned and nodded, letting it go. There wasn’t anything else she could do besides persist further, after all. And he had made his decision clear.

“I want to play again, too. Maybe I can meet your family some day.” Eri didn’t know if that was a good idea or not, but she didn’t want to chase him away. He was the first friend she had the chance to make around her age, and it felt wrong to keep butting in with all this bad stuff, she didn’t want to dwell on that anymore.

Despite that, when he handed her the flower bracelet she stared down at it before putting it on her wrist, biting her lip for a moment before looking up with a smile. “Yeah, one day I’m gonna be your hero and save you, Hisato-kun. So wait for me, okay?” it felt almost like a game, saying that, but she meant it.

“O-okay. Maybe we can see each other again!” she hoped they would, anyways.

“I’d like that very much.” Hisato smiled and gave a confident nod and a thumbs up to match. “I’ll see you again real soon and everything! Just like friends do! Maybe when I find my little brother you can meet him too!” He giggled and found happiness in the though for them running around the fields of flowers again together. It’d be nice and she was a lot of fun to be around.

”We’ll see each other again soon. I promise.” He murmured, putting his pink out and lightly taking hers with it, making a pinky promise. “My little brother and I would make these all the time! A pinky promise! I never break my promises.” Hisato said proudly. 

“And yeah, yeah I’ll wait for you.” The brunette’s big eyes shimmered with hope and faith but with that he let her pinky go and stood up, gesturing back towards the city with his hand. “Get home same kay? But I gotta go now. I’ll see you again one day Eri! Thank you for playing with me!” Hisato giggled and ran off back up the other side of the hill, waving back at her with a happy and bright smile. 

“It’s a promise then, we’ll have to see each other again!” she confirmed, mirroring his pride over the situation. It felt strong, like something that they’d for sure have to come through on.

“…that’s bad. Your papa shouldn’t make you do things you don’t want to.” she replied, frowning immediately. “My… Uncle. He used to do bad things to me too, but now I have a new home.” she paused. “Maybe you need one too, like I did.” someone to help him. Maybe Eri could help… “You should come to my home and meet my new dad and my friends. If you want to. They’re all nice and helped me, so maybe they can help you too!”

She let the topic drop though, going back to her quirk and nodding. “I can’t control mine really good yet, but I used it before to heal people.” and to hurt them, but she couldn’t say that, nor face it right now.

“Mister Kurogiri wouldn’t like me leaving…” Hisato frowned and looked away, staring at the red flower he cupped in his hand. 

“He’ll get mad at me if I leave. Big Brother Tomura will too…they say people who wanna help me end up always being bad guys. Even if they call themselves Heroes that I can’t trust them. It’s really confusing. But-But they say Heroes will only want to hurt me. I don’t get it really…but leaving with you? It-It sounds nice. I like playing with you Eri.” The brunette murmured quietly. 

“Your power sounds really cool though. I know one day you’re gonna grow up to be really cool and strong! Maybe-….Maybe then you can come save me.” He giggled softly and handed her the flower he had formed into a bracelet for her to wear.

“I want to play again, too. Maybe I can meet your family some day.” Eri didn’t know if that was a good idea or not, but she didn’t want to chase him away. “You have more than one Quirk?” that was different, though she didn’t know enough about the norm to say that it was impossible, so she let it go. “That’s really cool, though. That you have the chance to have any Quirk you want…”

She paused, frowning. She almost wanted to not talk about her Quirk, but she was starting to see it in a positive light. “Yeah, my horn grows when I use my Quirk.” she explained. “I can rewind stuff, like, make it like it was before something happened.”

“Yeah! It’s pretty cool! Weird that I was born to have all the Quirks while my brother was born with none. Couldn’t get any farther apart.” The boy explained. “I can also give Quirks away if I wanted too. It’s nice and all but a lot of bad people come looking for me…even my own papa’s mean…he-…makes me do bad things with my power.” The boy huffed and pulled another flower out from the grass.

“Oh! Your Quirk lets you grow stuff!?” her face lit up. “That’s so cool!” she was interested in other peoples Quirks, since most of the ones she had been around her life, including her own, were so destructive. Something so gentle felt nice.

When he ran off she blinked, watching him go. After a moment he returned and put the flower in her hair though. Her hand slowly went up to brush the petals, gentle and hesitant. After a moment though she smiled, nodding.

“I do, thank you!”

“Well it’s one of my Quirks. I can do a whole lot of things.” Hisato shrugged before flopping down into the flower garden with a yawn. “I have a lot of Quirks. Papa said I’m the only one who can do that apparently.” The steal grey eyed boy blinked up to her. “I know it’s super weird huh?”

“Yeah! I dunno what my name means. No one ever told me.”

“My old family wanted me to stay inside all the time. I never got to go anywhere, and always got in trouble when I left the house.” it felt wrong, saying it in such a casual tone, but–

Eri was glad to ignore the bad thoughts welling up and to run after him, looking around at the colorful garden with a gasp of delight. “It’s so pretty! I wanna pick some! Do you think we can?” she questioned, beaming.

“Yeah! I can just make new ones if we pick to many! I can make things grow really fast. It’s one of my powers.” The boy explained with a shy smile as he picked a yellow flower from the grass. He then went to putting it in his hair and grinning brightly. 

 He started looking for one to put in Eri’s own, searching for the right flower until he came across a pretty pink one. The brunette turned and jogged back to her, putting the little pink flower tucked by her ear. 

When he ran off she blinked, watching him go. After a moment he returned and put the flower in her hair though. Her hand slowly went up to brush the petals, gentle and hesitant. After a moment though she smiled, nodding.

“I like your name too! It sounds like someone strong!” like the people she had met during her time staying with Aizawa-san. 

“When I used to live in my old home, they didn’t like me going outside either.” she felt cold, thinking about this, so she shook it off. “That sounds fun! Let’s go!” she wanted to see all the flowers! Maybe there was some out there that she could bring home!

“Wow thanks! Papa said it means Ruler or King! Kinda cool right?”

“Oh! And heh…You too huh? Yeah my…my papa was always really strict with my and my little brother. My new papa isn’t as strict but I know what you mean.” 

“My old family wanted me to stay inside all the time. I never got to go anywhere, and always got in trouble when I left the house.” it felt wrong, saying it in such a casual tone, but--

Eri about jumped half a mile when someone spoke behind her, and once again when her horn was touched. Though she relaxed after a moment, breathing quietly.

“Also I’m burning that abomination.”
