Rendezvous

knowing that in a year and a half, i’ll be graduated. and all the people who mean the world to me right now will fall right out of my life after graduation as fast as they fell in

after we separate, i won’t have an excuse to randomly hit someone up again and ask to chill. i won’t be able to spontaneously walk down the block and knock on a door, knowing that my best friends will be on the other side

it scares the shit outta me, knowing that the people who made my 4 years of college worthwhile and who have shaped me into the person i am today might never be in my life anymore. that the people with whom i’ve shared priceless moments will turn into awkward “hellos” and “how are yous” at our college reunion, and nothing more than that

it scares the shit outta me knowing that the one person who i depend on so much and see every single day now will move on the bigger and better things that don’t involve me -- and never were supposed to involve me

it scares the shit outta me knowing that i’ll have missed so many opportunities that could have changed my life but are too late to go back on
