"Well, ain't the sweetest little ass in Texas," he said with a smirk. Cigarette hanging from his lips. "How ya been gorgeous? Miss me?" There was still a heavy swagger with his steps as he approached her. His eyes giving her the once over a bit more. Enjoying the sight of her company. "Gotta say I've been missing the sight of that cute little ass of yours."

Her heart practically jumped into her throat and out from between her smirking pale pink lips as the preacher made his presence known. “Preach-” she hummed. She had made her way across the empty bar and now stood inches from the man. She had contemplated being nice, sweet even, but that just wasn’t the witch’s style.

Her petite hand came across the preacher’s cheek. It wasn’t as hard as she wanted, but it would definitely leave a little sting in it’s wake. “You think you can just disappear and come back whenever you like Jesse? You left! No word, no warning…you’d have broken my poor little heart…if I had one.” She glared as her inked arms came up to cross over her chest.

The slap wasn’t hard but it certainly left an endearing mark on his actions. He rubbed his chin, instinctively. “Well hello to you too,” he said. “Wasn’t planning on leaving your cute little ass by your lonesome.”

Things weren’t exactly easy by any means. Not considering the matters that were surfacing on his search for God. He hadn’t planned on it but he didn’t want to risk putting her life in anymore danger than he had already had.

They were a sought after pair for their precision and efficiency at what they did, whether it was delivering cartel, beating the shit out of a target, robbing places that only realized they’d been robbed the day after. Sometimes, though, one of them would be too efficient, and the other would notice and fuck they’d notice how sexy the other was at being so efficient. All Tulip’d been doing was picking a lock, a pin hanging loosely from her lips when she felt Custer’s hand go down the front of her pants and hell, she didn’t mind that one bit, even grabbed his hand and shoved it more insistently. “We don’t got long, you know that?” she reminded in a faux-annoyed tone, grinning all the while.

Didn’t matter how much time they had. Odds were in their favor at the moment. A quick fuck couldn’t hurt. If anything it would break the tension. Free them a bit from the trouble of the road. Not that they ever really had much issue with it. They had traveled more than their share of the country doing job after job. Now was certainly no different.
