When I was younger, I wish someone had told me straight-up that not all adults experience “a calling”. That many of them never find particular purpose in a career. That sometimes, their job is just what pays the bills and they have to seek satisfaction and fulfillment elsewhere. 

Treat people as you want Allah to treat you on the Day of Judgement.

It will keep hurting you, until you let go and there remains nothing in the heart but Him. Once that happens you will no longer love for your own sake. Everything you want, love, or hate will be for, through and by Him.

‎He who keeps his heart near God will find peace and tranquility, while he who gives his heart to the people will find restlessness and apprehension.

Whoever turns his heart to Allah, Allah responds by turning the people’s hearts towards him.

I’m addicted to silence and privacy; I wallow in it.
