Redesigned our store check stand recently - wow, what a difference
I just wanted to share something I noticed after making a small change in our store. We recently updated our check stand/checkout counter, and honestly, I didnāt realize how much of a difference it would make.
The new layout actually sped up the checkout line.
Customers seem less stressed (I think because the flow feels smoother).
It even gave us extra space to display a few small impulse items, which are selling surprisingly well.
I always thought a checkout counter was just⦠a counter. But after seeing the change, Iām starting to believe the design of check stands really does shape the shopping experience.
Curious if anyone else has had a similar experience? Did you notice more sales or happier customers after redoing your checkout area?
(For anyone whoās into fixtures/design, I looked at a few custom options here: JF Fixtures.
