FULL NAME: brooke marie parker. KNOWN ALIAS(ES): brooks, mom, bee, sissy. AGE: mid thirties to mid forties. GENDER: cis female. SEXUALITY: bisexual. HIGHEST EDUCATION LEVEL: masters degree in nursing. JOB TITLE: nurse practitioner. works in a small private clinic.

DAILY ROUTINE: brooke wakes up at 05.20 a.m. this gives her time for a shower, then time to start breakfast before she wakes up her son ( and antonio and his kids when they're around ) so they can have family breakfast before school, jobs and whatever else might be on the plan for the day. then she drives the kids to school, goes to her job as a nurse practitioner. eats a home packed lunch, this is often leftovers or a sandwich. once she's off work, she might squeeze in a jog, but most days she prefers to pick up the kids right away - then drive them home where they do homework together as a family, waiting for antonio to come home and then dinner and night routines start. sometimes she showers before bed too if she feels unclean or sticky after work. if she's stressed, she either leaves the kids with antonio, or she calls liam to watch them, so she can get some miles beneath her trusted pink running shoes. DIET & NUTRITION: as a nurse, brooke knows how important food and water is. but her kids are always prioritized. which means that sometimes she ends up with a quicker, less nutritious solution for herself. she's quite good at meal prepping and planning. so usually there's leftovers from dinner for lunch, or she has the ingredients to make a salad or a sandwich for herself. she's a fan of coffee - but will mostly drink them cold with lots of sugar and cream in. that is her go-to sweet treat, and she will stop by her favorite coffee drive-in on her way to pick up her kid(s) and bring an iced coffee to pick-up. EXERCISE HABITS: her favorite form of exercise ( besides chasing the kids around ) is running. she used to run track in high school, and it always used to quiet the noise in her head whenever she needed some peace. now, as a mom working a job too? she doesn't get as much as she used to. but she tries to at least go twice a week. sometimes she runs with her brother - who's a cop. they like to race each other. SUBSTANCE USE: she doesn't smoke, never did drugs - she likes a cold beer every now and then, but as someone who's been responsible of another life for most of her life, she rarely gets drunk or tipsy. SLEEP PATTERNS: brooke is a light sleeper. she will wake up whenever there's movement in the house, and she has since she was a teenager. with both her brother and her partner in intelligence, she will often stay awake till they're home if either is out working late. she's a worrier, and it shows in her sleeping habits. OTHER IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIPS: * her little brother - liam parker. liam is brooke's little brother, and she raised him mostly on her own. he was young when their father died, and their mother left them. she worked two jobs during high school to take care of him - and when he started training to be a cop ... to become someone good, who could make a difference? she couldn't have been more proud. he's the best uncle, and once she became a couple with antonio ... liam found a male figure he really began looking up to. * her in-laws - gabriela dawson and matt casey. gabby and matt quickly became a part of brooke's inner circle when she and antonio went official. gabby is one of her best friends, and matt is one of the boys' favorite people. he loves playing with them, and a good way to brooke's heart is through her kids. gabby is her go-to for gossip about antonio, and they often share stories about their brothers when they're together. even if gabby is a little sister - she has all the juicy gossip. their kids often play together, which makes gabby and matt the people that antonio and brooke sees the most outside of work. * her ( soon-to-be ) sister-in-law - ava moreno. brooke knew for a long time that her little brother had feelings for his best friend ( who happened to be his dead best friend's twin ) she also know that, that exact fact complicated a lot of things for liam. but brooke always knew, and she always loved to have ava over as the two of them grew up side-by-side. brooke tried to make their little and humble home a break for both of them and the grief they shared after alejandro died. a grief only liam and ava could relate to and understand. she considers ava a little sister ... another link in their family tree, and if ava called in the middle of the night? brooke would pick up immediately, she's family. she's also the only one whom brooke could ever imagine liam with. he'd seen other girls through the years, to which brooke just rolled her eyes at - she knew that they were temporary. * tba.

when brooke was sixteen and liam ( her brother ) was eight, she became the one in charge of raising him. she worked two jobs besides school to put them both through life and educations. luckily she got a scholarship for college - which she finished, then proceeded on to take a masters within nursing while working on the side and making sure liam stuck to school and stayed out of trouble. the closest he got, was when his best friend was killed. she had to navigate him ( and his best friend's twin, who was also liam's best friend and crush ) through their grief for the boy they'd lost too young. in her twenties she got pregnant, she hadn't been dating patrick for too long before she got pregnant - but her brother never liked him, and once he left brooke and his unborn child, brooke learned why. he was using her for her kindness, for the bleeding, nurturer heart in her chest, the one that beat to help people. a few months after this, she gave birth to her son, august. he became the light of her life - even in a way liam wasn't. when auggie started school, he met his best friend for life - diego dawson, and through diego, brooke met diego's parents, laura and antonio. she befriended them and they all helped each other out with the kids. she always felt closer to antonio ... he quickly became her best friend. one who didn't depend on her, someone she could depend on, rely on. and then one night he called her, letting her know in a choked tone that laura had left and she'd taken the kids. that's when antonio started coming over more, and once he got the kids back in a custody agreement, brooke offered to get both boys after school - and along came eva. she grew closer to the kids, and even closer to antonio. the two of them slowly fell in love, both learning to trust love in a new way. a love through friendship. and now they live together, raising their three kids. at a mother's day cookout for the lapd + fd, august decided to call antonio dad. which only cemented the way their family is now.

one : when voight dies, olinsky is dealing with complicated feelings. he knows he was a cancer to their team. he knows what he was doing was hurting the people ( the unit ) that olinsky loves. but voight had been a friend to him. they'd done a lot of bad things together, at voight's suggestion and lead. but it trauma bonded the two of them. even if the things voight had him do were the things that drove him so far from himself ( and ended his marriage )

two : alvin has ptsd. it's an up and down battle with his own demons every day. some days better than others. it's a mix of what happened to him in the army: but also years on service at the pd. but especially from his time with voight. a thing that seems to be helping his ptsd is the way he leads the unit now. the laws they make for themselves. the family they've created. he gets to start fresh, and he gets to make sure that the people he take into the unit gets a better chance at healing than he did.

three : after his marriage ends with meredith, after years of alvin hiding in the family garage. he finds love again. a different kind of love. he marries trudy platt. but the love is different from young love - he doesn't love her any less, but he is more steady in his love. he doesn't hide from trudy - but they both respect each other's need for space and time alone ( after both of them having years where they were mostly alone ) which is why they work so well.

four : trudy was the first one alvin told about michelle when he found out. he needed her help. but he also knew she wouldn't judge him, and she didn't. she responded: 'we have another daughter?' which made him feel lighter. trudy took it better than al himself. it took him an adjustment period to get used to the idea of another daughter, not because he didn't want her, but he was terrified. so scared of lexi's reaction to not being his only one anymore. of lexi knowing he'd cheated on her mother. this was the most painful bit for him. the second one was knowing he hadn't been there for michelle while growing up, and he will do his absolute best to make up for that fact.

five : when voight died, alvin didn't hesitate to accept the offer of sergeant and leader of the intelligence unit. not necessarily because he was aching for a promotion. but because he didn't want his team in the wrong hands. he knows that most people wouldn't understand the way the group work together. they wouldn't understand why the pairings worked the way they do. and they wouldn't live up to the one thing they keep from the former leadership. the only thing alvin repeats to the people in intelligence. 'tell me the truth, and let me lie for you.' meaning he will always have their backs, and he will do anything to protect their lives, their people - their badges and purposes. he knows personally what intelligence means to them all.

one : tim wakes up before 5 a.m. on rare occasions he can sleep a little longer if lucy is with him in bed. but even with her, he wakes up around 4 a.m. it comes from his time in the army - but he will tell everyone he just likes getting his day started ( or that he enjoys waking up in the quiet )

two : while in reality, tim hates a quiet house. he prefers tamara's music from her room, lucy's true crime podcast playing in the background, kojo snoring - or later on, he hates when he can't hear their little kids playing or chatting. quiet means lonely - and it reminds him of the time where he lived at the old house, coming home alone every night.

three : tim finds out about lucy's first pregnancy on father's day - and he did cry. he cries again at the heartbeat scan, right until he finds out that they're expecting twins. his heart starts pounding and he feels happy in a way he's never been before. he's waited for a long time to do this with his best friend. they're already parents : they have tamara. but they never got to spend her whole childhood being her parents.

four : tim was nervous to enter lucy's homemade family. it was her and tamara - and it was tim and tamara. but when they became a trio, tim felt like his heart was fuller than it had ever been before. he was nervous about impressing her. he quickly learned though, that tamara never cared much about being impressed. she needed someone to stay - and that was exactly what tim needed too. someone to stay no matter what.

five : tim will spend his time looking at the cliptok recipes that tamara send him. and she sends a lot. he 'pretends' to judge them ( he does, but silently ) but then he ends up trying every single one of them with his daughter. they only feed lucy the good ones. while lucy works the night shift: this is what he, tamara and diego do every night she works.

one : tamara's biological parents were both struggling with different addictions. they weren't what anyone would qualify as even decent parents. they were distant until they died - and then tamara was on her own until she stole lucy chen's car. that was the best thing she's ever done. it led her to a friendship - that turned into a mother-daughter bond. lucy became the parent she never had before.

two : tamara has a lot of unloaded trauma from her time on the streets. it takes her a long while to open up about it, despite lucy's offer to listen or take her to a therapist. when she opens up: it's to diego. he is her absolute best friend. he is her best friend before he's her boyfriend. she tells him, they both cry together, but for a long while he's the only one who knows.

three : when tamara is about nine months through her rookie year - she falls pregnant. but she doesn't freak out about the thought of becoming a parent herself - one, because lucy taught her everything about what a good mom is. and two, because she's doing it with her absolute best friend. and three, they have a village around them. her family went from zero - to more than she can count at the top of her head.

four : if mateo had been a girl, tamara would've tried to find a way to name him after lucy and bailey. but both of them also wanted him to have his own name.

five : tamara doesn't like coffee, but she's quite addicted to 7/11 slushies. she will go at least once a day during the summer - sometimes four times. she often convinces lucy to come. ( tim doesn't love this )

one : kojo's favorite sleep spot is : lucy's pillow. during chenford's break up - kojo exclusively sleeps on lucy's side of the bed. that's his mom.

two : kojo always gets something homecooked when he has to eat. if he's in puppy daycare, or someone else is watching him ( besides tim, who is the reason for this habit ) his dad always makes sure to pack him at least one lunch box with food. this is usually rice with chicken, salmon, some veggies and broth.

three : if you ask tim, kojo does not get anything at the table.. despite that being said, everyone feeds kojo a bit of meat at the table. tim will blame tamara, diego and lucy. but he also gives kojo something - kojo knows that his cute puppy eyes works best on lucy, tamara and diego though. tim usually only feeds him if the others aren't around.

four : kojo's puppy best friend is celina and peter's dog pouch. pouch used to work at firehouse fifty one - but kojo is also so worn out once pouch has been by for a visit. the other dog has more energy and honestly? kojo loves his life the most when he's in a bed or on the couch ( or eating a homecooked meal ) he doesn't love being active all that much. so if lucy and tim are visiting the mills household? they don't bring kojo, even if they never tell peter or celina why.

josephine nyla : josie absolutely cannot go to sleep in a quiet room as a baby / young kid. she needs some type of sound in the background, and while they have a white noise machine - she prefers the sound of her mom's singing. will doze off immediately if she's held by a parent while lucy sings to her.

angel celina : angie is the boldest of the chenford babies. she fears absolutely nothing and this means she's also the kid who got the most physical injuries of the bunch. broke her wrist for the first time at three years old when she decided to jump from a dining chair to the couch.

greyson cooper : grey is the biggest mama's boy. he is lucy's shadow, will follow her around everywhere - sometimes he tries to hide as he does so. makes it a game. but if his mama is home? chances are, you'll find grey not long behind her, or clinging onto her legs to keep her from walking anywhere without him.

zoe kimberly : zoe loves animals. her first word was moo-moo. but she didn't see a cow when she said the words - she was calling for kojo. so that becomes his ( affectionate ) nickname in the family. she grows up wanting to work with animals, and she loves visiting anywhere there's a new pet for her to give her love to.

i write alvin olinsky as : head of intelligence. voight is gone, whether he wasn't there - or he's dead, is voight dependent. he helped pick out everyone on the team. he will vouch for either of them.

he's always told them to tell him their truth, the ugly and bad, and that whatever happens he has their back. that's the one thing he's taken to him from voight. you tell me the truth, and i will lie for you.

alvin in his main verse, is divorced from meredith, but he finds love with trudy platt. they get married ( no he doesn't die, don't be foul, this is a safe space ) they never adopt or have more kids. alvin has his two daughters; and the entire intelligence team.

* INTELLIGENCE UNIT ( olinsky's version )

antonio dawson: antonio has been on the team since olinsky took over. brought him over from narcotics - he'd always admired what he'd heard about antonio. his work with the police youth foundation. antonio is olinsky's second in command ( along with cooper dawson ) and he values his opinion on tasks they've got ahead of him. he will turn to him for advice.

cooper dawson: when cooper transferred from new york, alvin's interest was immediately peaked. the cop showed more integrity than he often sees in cops. something he could see himself in. that is why cooper is second in command along with antonio dawson. olinsky will let either of the two take over as acting boss whenever he's out of duty, for whatever reason.

erin lindsay: erin came into alvin's life as a teenager, a troubled one, but it was something he could relate to. quickly ... erin felt like a daughter to him. she soon became a part of the olinsky family - they took her in when olinsky realized that bunny was an unfit mother. olinsky will go to war for anyone in his team, but especially erin lindsay. he doesn't give her special treatment at work, but he loves her in a way he doesn't love the others. that's his child. he trusts her judgement, but he is also one of the first to notice when she's off the rails, and he will always be there to help her come back to shore. back to herself and her happiness - even if that someday isn't intelligence anymore.

jay halstead: as a fellow ex-army man, olinsky understands jay in a way voight never did. he noticed soon after seeing jay's application on their desk, that he had something the others didn't. he was an exceptional shooter with a long gun - and olinsky knows that his brain isn't wired in the way a traditional cop's is. voight didn't want him on at first, but olinsky put down his foot and insisted. no team without halstead, was his words.

adam ruzek: adam ruzek was someone olinsky had high expectations for ( and rightfully so ) alvin always scouts the police academy for new talent, he doesn't want the chicago pd to be an old boys club. so he'd been keeping an eye on adam ruzek long before he met him, and when he saw him in action? he saw raw talent. so he pulled him right out of the academy and into duty - made him his own partner. and every day he was impressed by adam's willingness to learn new things, he always listens. even before alvin began to see his new partner as more of a family member than a coworker. however, that doesn't come in the way of duty. if anything, it just makes olinsky more protective ( and more proud ) of adam.

kevin atwater: tba.

kimberly burgess: alvin has a soft spot for kim - but it comes from a place of caring for adam ruzek. he sees the way they look at each other, but that never made him worry for their jobs. he was always outspoken for kim's way to intelligence. he knows she deserves to be there - and he doesn't see the difference between erin and jay working together while having clear feelings for each other ( despite them trying to be secret around it ) so a relationship would never stop alvin from adding someone onto the team. he does however warn both adam and kim to not let work get in the way of their personal life, yes you heard that right - not the other way around. alvin has already done that with one marriage and lost the battle.

hailey upton: tba.

ava moreno: alvin was first made aware of ava's story when she entered the academy - and when she kept passing every test with flying colors. but he waited a couple of months, before approaching her. he saw her anger, the grief she was carrying around ... and immediately knew she'd do better on his team. it's not just a unit, they're a family. they fight crime, but they do it while always having each other's backs. the reason why he waits until halfway-ish into her rookie year, is the fact that he wants to make sure she can use her anger productively. he doesn't need someone to crash out and risk the lives of the team, but he's always looking for someone with that fire in their eyes.

* CHEATSHEET: nadia decotis, updated 28/05.

first of, my portrayal of nadia is very closely affiliated with @1stresponders's erin lindsay, and my own portrayal of jay halstead. you will find headcanons + changes involving them reading onwards from here.

nadia lives in erin's apartment. she has done so ever since rehab, there was talk about her moving out once she finished at the police academy and she was saving for it. but that never really happened.

erin ( and her boyfriend, jay ) make a lot of space for nadia. she has her own room. they make sure to never have alcohol or anything else that can add to addiction around the house. this is a big help, and nadia appreciates how they can do fun things without things like that having to play a major role. she has to learn everything from scratch leaving rehab - erin helps teach her new and better habits. ways to manage life.

nadia attends na meetings at least twice a week. she has her chips, she's very proud of them, and she dreams of one day becoming a sponsor for herself, but not until she becomes a police officer. she knows piling too much onto your own plate will tip the scales in a bad way.

tw assault: when yates come into the picture, nadia knows they're dealing with a bad guy. i won't go into detail. he still takes her to new york - but erin and the team finds her in time. she leaves new york with more scars, inside and out, than she's ever had. a therapist diagnoses her with ptsd and it doesn't come as a surprise to anyone, but nadia still takes it hard.

since she is not dead: nadia waits another year before joining the police academy. during this year she lives with erin lindsay, who stays home with her for a while after the assault happens. she goes to therapy, and slowly she starts feeling like a person again. after the year passes, she starts the police academy - with a promise from detective olinsky that there's a spot for her in intelligence ... when she's all done. he makes a great deal out of letting her finish completely, not pulling her out early like he did adam ruzek. he knows she needs the time, and she secretly appreciates it.

gabby struggles with finding her direction. six years ago ... she applied to the fire academy, but in the meantime she's become paramedic-in-charge, and that is the job she works in my main verse for her. she did take med school classes on the side for a bit.. ( see notes further down )

gabriela is single ship with @1stresponders's matt casey. so unless otherwise discussed, she's always in ( some kind of ) relationship with matt.

matt and gabby adopt the darden boys when heather goes to prison the first time. she doesn't come out on good behavior / lack of space. they become their legal guardians. and they raise them as their own.

tw miscarriage: gabby loses a baby in season four, it almost kills her and she's told she shouldn't get pregnant again due to her own health. but her and matt go see a specialist after a while. one that deals with a lot of high risk pregnancies - this is when they get pregnant again and have their daughter, their only biological child, andrea 'andy' casey.

they also adopt their foster son, louie. more to be added when i get there in my watch, but that's their son and that's all we need to know for now.

during gabby + matt's breakup phase ( which barely lasts a few days ) gabby stays with antonio dawson. not sylvie. she loves her brother, but she mostly chooses his place to be around her niece and nephew. they're her ( second ) safe spot.
