– excitement rushed through her; eyes locked and focused for the next level approaching. the first shot that was made from them both started the game again. off they went.

but truth be told, nanami could survive the whole game with low life. the low life motivated her to shoot out gumballs at a rapid pace. the gamer, of course, is scanning the whole screen, double checking clearance. hinata’s offer had felt like someone giving you a bunny for christmas. except this time it was a game. in the gamer world, that was the nicest thing to offer. nanami is too engrossed into the game to reply immediately. it’s been minutes later, not surprising she is still alive. how ? it was just a gamer thing.

      “yes please.” politeness in her tune.

her character is scooted close to hinata’s character. another level had gone by. levels fly when you’re having fun. she turns her head towards hinata-kun.

      “i…agree. it is important… i think.”       “..i hope we can do more things together, too.”

Hinata  was good at video games, but he couldn’t compare to Nanami-- she was an expert. Had he gone into this level with low health, he might have  died  right  off  the  bat.  With these kinds of enemies, he wouldn’t stand  a  chance.  He really admired the female for being able to play so well--       being      able      to      do      something     that    he    couldn’t. 

To   be   fair,   the   brunet was becoming more and more focused on the game  as  well. It happened to beall the more difficult to reply coherently, especially  when  his  eyes  were   locked  on the game and its contents. Although, even if it wasn’t easy, he was still able to say something every now and again,  just so that they wouldn’t fall into a video game induced silence.

Yet,   if   it   was   Nanami,   he   wouldn’t  mind sitting with her in silence.

❝ —— yes, that’s correct. ❞ HER TRUE TITLE CARRIES GREATER WEIGHT, one she graciously took  PRIDE  of. Unfortunately a great ‘ loss ’ of her pride was diminished in response to exposing herself (  this is not worthy of a true Kirigiri detective  ). It bothers her to carry this artificial title where the Kirigiri name is exposed to the public. Hues narrowed to themselves, almost cursing underneath pursed lips about the Ultimate status. She despised it greatly to the point where  FRUSTRATION  swirled within her form. Arms folded across her chest, attempting to withdraw those unnecessary facial expressions before the other could see. It isn’t his fault but the ‘ despicable man ’ who carries this weight around her shadow. Finally an introduction was made and broke the silence (  including her  THOUGHTS   ).

❝ hinata-kun —— hm. I’ll be sure to remember it. ❞ And a gloved hand extended out to grasp his very hand for a handshake, not minding it. She could have a vague  TREMBLE  came out of the soft grip. ❝ I feel the same. Eh … I suppose I was heading home. ❞ Truth be told, there was another business the detective wanted to take care of. But it might have not been anything ‘ interesting ’ to report to someone like Hinata. Plus, she didn’t want to bother him with her schedule.

All his inquiries were … surprisingly relevant to what ordinary people would say. Even her fellow classmate had a similar  HABIT  of delivering these type of questions. It’s unusual to see how people treat the main course as (  superior to regular humans who are objects of ‘ fascination ’ and ready to use for the sake of the world  ). Really, she preferred to be an ordinary woman if all this attention is something people believe she eats up — with a nod, the detective eyed him without displaying any emotion behind her words. Except her ending statement carries a higher displeasure. ❝ The main course is  FAIRING WELL  though I wouldn’t know since I don’t speak with them often. ‘ Enjoying it ’? The activities we do as classmates aren’t … bad. It’s hard to say, Hinata-kun — I admit, I may end up transferring to another academy after handling something with the headmaster. ❞

Hinata  takes  note  of  the gloves that the other wears while taking her  hand  i n his own. Perhaps a sort of questioning gaze is visible on  his  face  when  he  looks down.  However,  he  tries his best to make   it   seem  like  it  wasn’t  a  big  deal,  though  his  mind was wondering  as  to  why  she  wore  them? Perhaps it was just some fashion  statement  he  wasn’t  aware  of--  he was never good with that    sort    of   thing   so   it   could   have   been   be  the  reason.

The  next  thing that the boy takes note of is the lack of emotion the other  displays.  Her words are cold and calculated-- they possess a heavy amount of thought and it’s obvious that she spends a great deal  of  time  thinking  about  what she wants to say before actually saying  it.  He  really  can’t tell what the Ultimate Detective is feeling right  now--  and  that  fact alone shrouds her in an aura of mystery.

            ❝ yeah, we know… we’re really thankful for it, hinata-san. it made repairs go a lot more smoothly… ❞ he trails off, lips pursing. he eyes the elder, concern obvious as he furrows his brow and fiddles his thumbs. “i’m sorry you all had to do that though. if we were more responsible, it would’ve been easier on everyone else too… you wouldn’t have to go into hiding like that if the foundation were more secure… despite that, i hope things are well on your end?”

❝ No, don’t worry about it...  it  was  something that had to be done, ❞  he  offers  a  genuine smile, something that the past him would  never  had  thought  of  doing.  Hinata  was  just  glad that everything  was  slowly fixing itself and the world was returning to what it once was.   Eve n if the cost was too great for him and the other       members        of        the       seventy-seventh        class.
