Send in āā for our muses to cuddle on a cold night. || ACCEPTING !!
ā„ Heās tired...Timeās drifting away faster than he can even comprehend. When you close your eyes, just for a second, itās like the world travels as swiftly as possible. The moment they open again, everythingās back to normal. Itās like a bunch of actors moving behind a closed, crimson curtain. Shirokumaās unsure whether he should take comfort from that or not. Because of it, however, his friend came.Pink hair, cut before it can reach her shoulders; a backpack modeled after an adorable cat mascot with a silly, little grin etched on its face; & a certain type of warmth & tranquility reflected in her eyes that showĀ a tiny bit of her characteristics. Characteristics that the bear himself can respect. That friend was one he hasnāt seen for a while, but when she comes over ā itās like a whole, new adventure!Sheās not like the other students at that academy, or maybe that was because sheās a quiet type. Friendly, yes, but unless it was about something in particular, sheād barely pay attention. & Shirokumaās never seen her family... did she have one? That single thought was enough for him to invite her to his house as a just in case. It mustāve seemed cool to her! Doesnāt that inner curiosity about the kind of place a robot bear lives in motivate someone enough? On a cold night like this, the only option is to huddle together & find ways to pass the time until one of you is fast, fast asleep. ( & since his friend slept easily enough, & Shirokuma had no need for that thing, itās obvious whoās going to be the first victim. Or the only one! )So they spent their time communicating. More than just that, actually. They talked about animals, they talked shortly about the weather. They spoke about the things they were dedicated to doing, & even showcased them to one another as best as they could. Shirokuma asked about things humans enjoyed & understood, like the fast-moving day & night cycle & what it would be like having someone nice in your family. Neither of which Nanami responded with anything other than an exceptionally short answer; although it did surprise him, he didnāt mind & their peaceful talk continued. It puts him at ease. All those days spent trembling in fear ā not because of what the future may hold, but because heās scared for what may happen today, right here, in the present ā his worrying disappears as Nanamiās smile reappears. He rests his cheek on her arm eventually, & adjusts so that his body could mostly depend on her side. Nanamiās holding her game device in her hands, mashing the buttons at a speed never before seen. Shirokuma watches, before closing his eyes.& the night drifts away behind that closed, crimson curtain.
