A character design test for the star of a picture-book-in-progress about Octavio (the octopus) vs. the Aliens, based on a completely true story that happened during my first night scuba dive, in Cozumel in 2017.
Contact information for the back of my postcard mailer.
Inktober 2017 (post 3 of 3) This was my first year to try the #inktober challenge - it was a big success, I had a ton of fun, explored new ideas, and found some style I never knew I had.
I became a scuba diver for the first time in October, after a lifetime dreaming about it - so I stuck with the underwater theme for all but one day of the month. Ā Iām quite pleased with the results!

An oriole, gift for my dadās birthday.
A fun airplane sketch of some silly guys sharing a joke.
A sketch of my very young dad holding up extremely young me, showing off my oddly deft balance in comparison to my oddly giant cranium.

2015ā²s annual holiday card, this one in tribute to my wonderful world-building dad who we lost that year. Ā Far too soon, and far too loved.

Cover thumbnail sketches, super duper rough. Ā Still working on these ideas.
Here are some of the rough dummy sketches for additional spreads of Gibson Canāt Swim, besides the ones Iāve fully rendered for my graduate thesis.
