Regardless of whether not not you are trying not be rude, your comments on KaC over the corse of three posts that have been brought to my attention have been nothing been incredibly rude, and full of nothing but misinformation.

As a member of KaC I am going to address your posts and correct all the misinformation you are now spreading. Which you did not decide to actually fact check with any number of the KaC staff, including myself.  When after looking above, you can clearly see you have been linked to my blog.

First of all you make accusations to KaC regarding the perceived “real” reason why we left tumblr “i’m guessing eventually kac was asked (by artists themselves possibly) to take down their translations, and instead of admitting to people and their followers of what they were doing, they simply up and left without so much as an explanation.” (x) In actuality, yes we were approached by artists several times and they asked us to remove their work. Which we did, every time, and publicly stated this to our followers. Every. Single. Time. We did not leave tumblr because artists were demanding we take down posts. Furthermore, KaC does work personally with dozens of doujinka in getting permission to translate their works for an english speaking audience.  Several of whom we have been in discussions with about them using our translation, free, for a english edition to be sold over seas. 

When we stated that we were moving to a calmer location you stated “i’d never seen any kind of hate towards them, in fact people seemed to love them more than ever. they even had “comment of the week” or something where they literally showcased who had the best love for them” (x).  We never published troll messages or hate messages we received in our inbox, for the specific reason that we were a large community dedicated to a specific ship, and we decided that feeding the trolls who come to bait other people into a fight did not deserve the time of day they apparently so desire.  The Monthly Positive Commenting Incentive, which you called the “comment of the week” (x) was not a showcase of the person who loved us the most.  It was the selection of a commenter who wrote the most insightful and thoughtful comments on projects. Which was stated in the official announcement of this new monthly event.  It was not someone who pandered to the staff and told us how much they loved us.  We started it after there were arguments in the comment section and disharmony amongst the shippers.  We started it, in order to promote positivity and friendship between shippers, by encouraging people to start discussions about characterization and the like. It was not “unnecessarily egotistical” (x) because it was never about the staff.

You make comments about the social dynamics of the KaC team when you yourself are not, nor have you ever been, a member of the official team. Claiming with no actual facts behind you that, “their team was broken down into ‘leaders’ and ‘scanners’ on the higher end and ‘translators’ and ‘cleaners’ on the lower end…” (x) Firstly, this is not true.  All the staff of KaC are equal, none of us are ranked “higher” than any other. We are a collection of friends, and the idea that we would be bossing each other around is evidence that you have no idea what the staff of KaC are like.

You say you’re being polite but you proceed to joke about the staff and insult all of us with comments such as this one where you say “they try to seem professional, but they give no concrete reason for their move, don’t care about properly informing their followers, nor do they even give out their twitter handle on that post. it literally just saysNew location: Check Twitter” (x).  We gave you several concrete reasons. Your opinion of how valuable they were to you is irrelevant as to how “concrete” they are.  Furthermore, any follower of our blog can find the twitter as it is still on our blog under our contact info, if someone wants to follow us to our new location they will go to it.  If you’re not interested enough to do so, that’s fine, carry on with your life and have a good time.  Returning to your comment, if we did not care about informing our members then we would have made no post at all, and simply only let the persons who already followed us on twitter in on the new information.  Again, you make a baseless claim, from only your opinion and word it as if it is a fact.

Then in your tags you mention these points, “#because different members of the kac team would say they were hacked #while others would say they let the url go on purpose #not a very informed team at all??” (x).  Instead of asking why there was inconsistency despite many open opportunities, you passive aggressively tagged your post.  The reason there was inconsistency on this matter is the mere fact that our team is an international team, we have almost one person in each main global timezone.  So yes, this makes communication difficult, if one person misses a staff message, then they will not know and can spread information that is incorrect, which is why for the most part KaC staff never made group announcements on their personal blogs. With regards to this issue, no we were not hacked. Again, we were never nor have we ever been, hacked. We changed our URL because we were leaving tumblr. If you hate us for losing the URL to a troll, that’s fine I suppose, but what does it matter because we had already dumped everything off of the blog in the move, with the exception of our contact information.

You claim you’re not trying to hate or be rude, but you flat out call the staff: egotistical, unprofessional, and indirectly call us liars more than once. How is it possible that you tell yourself that you’re not being rude.

If you want to know what we meant when we said tumblr is a toxic environment, your posts about our move from tumblr are a shining example.
