field report from 10/15/25 (vs the blackhawks) (me & my friend ended up sitting a few rows behind the bench) SEWERBALL 🏐 1. not all the guys showed up, as usual. main group was: fowls, holly, broby, jake, mailloux, tucks, texi, mojo, and snuggy. kyrou, suter and bjugstad also made brief appearances. kyrou had airpods in (as usual). 2. texi, snuggy, and holly are probably the best out of that bunch. fowler is weirdly fast and was also loudly debating the rules every time he got out. suter is shorter than you'd think. mailloux is very good at sewerball until he panics, in which case he almost always seemed to kick the ball right into the ceiling and be out. at one point he got out and throw himself to the ground in apparent agony and stayed on the ground for a good 30 seconds. 3. when the guys wanna know the time, they start waving dramatically and yelling at one of the rink workers. every time i've seen this team play sewerball, it's always jake keeping track of the time and then going back to tell the guys how long they have. it's also usually him going to get the ball when it goes way out of range. 4. kyrou actually won the last round of sewer that they played before they left. he was SHOCKED. he kept pointing at himself and being like "ME? I WON? :D" 🏒 GAME SHENANIGANS 1. all of them appeared to be in a really obviously bad mood past the third goal. the energy on the bench was pretty good until then. 2. a blackhawk was chirping jake over a ref's shoulder and jake took out his mouthguard to say "oh yeah you're tough" 3. walks & mojo were both joking around on the bench when the mood started to sour, but they both stopped right after mojo took that crosscheck and was bleeding. we didn't see mojo smile once for the rest of the game. 4. when hof got pulled and binner started putting his gear on, a ton of the blues were very sympathetic toward hof. they were tapping his shins with their sticks, patting him on the shoulder, opening the door to the bench for him, handing him his water bottle, stuff like that. buchy seemed very upset for him. 5. buchy & thommer talk a LOT during the game. they like to collide (literally chest to chest or shoulder to chest) and yap and skate off together. 6. tucks & mailloux did the smelling-salts-head-shake. multiple times. 7. colton did a lot of talking to mailloux. 8. broby does talk to himself. broby does not talk to a ton of other people.
