Thinking back on my Naegami parent headcanon post I made while ago about Damon being Makotos and Byakuyas child, I posted it back when P;EG prolog just came out, I think
Anyway I wanna add another headcanon I have onto it :)
Basically I have a headcanon that after Makoto had risked so much to save them, the remnants started to be really close to Makoto. Itās to the point where itās not rare to see Makoto with them whenever they all meet up, basically the remnants low-key adopted Makoto lol
So I imagine when Damon came into the picture, the remnants started to do the same with him. To the remnants, Makoto is their friend so that makes Damon their nephew, looking after him when ever Makoto was tired or whatever, one or a few of the remnants would look after Damon.
Theyāve 100% stolen time from Kyoko, Aoi, Hiro, and especially Byakuya to be with Damon even tho heās literally his father lol (Makoto had to make a chart so that the remnants can take turns looking after Damon and stop stealing everyoneās time with him (they still try sometimes lmao))
But if you remember, the remnants are ex-terrorists and literally insane, I imagine afterward theyāve gotten therapy and have gotten better but there still some crazy and unhingedness still lingering, which as time went on, slowly rubbed off on Damon
So now because off all that, sometimes Damon will say something, wether as a joke or seriously, so incredibly unhinged it takes you a second to realize what happened, it doesnāt happen often, only at random intervals, like a few times or going months without hearing it, it makes you question if it really happened or not
And Damon has NO idea cause all he knows, heās not saying anything unhinged cause this is just how he was raised

This gets even funnier if you ship Damon and Wolfgang like I do cause imagine being so against murder and crime and meeting your boyfriends family and one of his dads betrayed the government was considered a war criminal and the majority of the rest of his family are ex-terrorists lmao, what do you even do in that situation lol

In honor of Chapter 1 coming out for Project:Edenās Garden I drew my fav boy Damon as well as share my theory (or my hypothesis/idea cause Iām not really basing this on a lot) on why I think Kai is going to die (not in chapter 1, probs dying as chapter 4 or 5 victim)
(Also if you couldnāt tell, the fanart is inspired by my idea about Kaiās death lol)
First the fanart, Iām very proud of how this came out (letās see how long that lasts lmao), took awhile to get the effect on the butterflies right
And now on why I think Kai is going to die
All the characters are associated with an animal, Damon a snake, Eva a crow, Wolfgang a sheep, etc, and Kai is a butterfly.
Butterflies often represent life, death and resurrection in Christian iconography, also being a symbol of hope and endurance but more often they represent rebirth, transformation and change. In official art we see Damon and Kai together a lot

And what is Kaiās talent again, the ultimate influencer. My belief is that during the game Kai is going to influence Damon and is going to be a big part in his character growth, especially when he dies, Damon at first will be like āthatās sad but I donāt careā to āwait no I actually care a lotā really quickly, heāll have to come to terms with heās feelings towards Kai (wether that be romantic or platonic, my moneys on romantic cause in the valentines pic it says Damon got something from a secret admirer and there are butterflies around him, Kaiās signature animal)
I imagine Damon will be faced with a lot of grief and regret of how mean he was to Kai when he was alive (similar to Himiko and Tenko from DRV3) weāll see Damon be at his lowest and potentially at his most vulnerable and just not understand why until either he or one of the other characters (probs Wolfgang) helps him realize his feelings, I Imagine some tears would be shed from Damon
TLDR: I think Kai and his death are basically gonna be used for Damonās character development lol
But thatās just my thoughts, if anyone has anything theyād like to add to this Iād love to see it
