"Thanks for helping me out." Diluc said as you place the final few cups next to him.

"No problem! I just happen to be walking by, and I haven't seen you in a while." It was true. It's been a while since you passed by the Dawn winery, and you figured you'd see Diluc while you were around. You've been busy. He's been busy. You were admittedly surprised to find the winery to be fairly empty, clear of most of its patrons by the time you walked in. you weren't in the mood for a drink, and offered to help instead. To your slight surprise, he accepted.

for a while you watch Diluc wash the dishes in silence. He doesn't shoo you away, nor do you decide to leave him in the winery by himsef. That changes when he feels something tugging at his hair. you, to be exact. Somewhere alone the way you had snuck behind him and took a large strand of his hair in between your fingers, meticulously braiding them as he worked.

"Uh. what are you doing?"

"Just braiding it." you hummed a little as you worked his hair between your fingers. It's soft, and you can smell a hint of vanilla in his hair. Although it was in a high ponytail, you notice his hair was longer than you remember it being. "Say, when was the last time you cut it?"

"I don't know, maybe last year. It's due for a cut soon." He doesn't swat your hand away, not even as you take out the hair tie in his hair. At first you give it a small tug, as if asking if it was ok to do so, and he lets you. With his hair down, you notice that the ends were beginning to reach his hips.

"Your hair's really grown since I last saw it!" you smile a little as you say that, undoing the small braid you were working on earlier and beginning to divide all of Diluc's hair into three chunks, gently beginning to braid it without yanking on it (although this is a nice way to pass time, you don't want to interrupt what Diluc is doing).

"Really? Well I didn't cut that much off. A few good inches for sure, but not too much."

"You know, your hair is really nice when it's this long. I get to do things like this. ta-da!" you tie up the ends of his hair just as he finishes the last dish, placing it out to dry as he runs a hand over what you've done to his hair.

A large, single braid runs down his back, and if you could, you'd add a bow at the end, just because it's cute. You watch as a small smile creeps onto his face, letting out an amused huff.
