Obv these two are destined to be besties ;DDD  Jk, jk I feel like Lena loathes Renfry and is like no!!!!!!! at anything he’s like yes!!!!!! about and just…ppl like Renfry are def the kind of ppl you want in leadership positions!! ;DDD  That being said, idk how much they interact, save that Lena likes to visit her aunt, who is Renfry’s v lucky wife *literally every single person: internally screaming*

If not that, bc obv Renfry isn’t tight w his wife, maybe Renfry might potentially occasionally hang w her dad bc he’s rich and her dad might occasionally hang w him bc he’s powerful, basically????  

So, wow!!!! Okay, yeah Renfry hates his wife and thinks its stupid that he had to marry her -- especially since he was gonna marry Sybil Grancourt and then he just kind of got stuck with Lavina when she ran away and uGH!!!!! So yeah, he hates her and honestly her family just for exISTING!!!! he ALSO really thinks the castillons are not woRHTY of him or hOuse moran!!! especially since they are just a wealthy fam and not a noble one, too. And so yeah, I feel like he makes that all sUPER clear. 

And I feel like he hates all of the castillon girls, but lena is 10000% his least favorite!!! she’s wayyyyy too outspoken and also wayyy too close w/ his niece who he is hoping to rule through once he gets rid of his pesky nephew and he does nOT need!!! people with a lot of ideas of their own to be having her question the ~sage advice of her uncle~ when the time comes. 

So many!!!!!! There’s a lot of them who haven’t ever even tried cooking at all???? And just kinda think food just appears for them??? Like Rowlin Stafford, Leck Quasar, Henrietta Allen, Ward Eastwood, Chase Hawthorne, Max Monroe, Renfry Moran, Cornelius Pembrooke, Lennox Stanford, and Harvey Wilder would all cook terrible meals (if they could be bothered to even try … which I don’t think any of them would be. Except maybe Ward when he’s trying to impress the ladies, but lbr he def thinks that having a five star chef cook a private meal for them is more impressive so …) 

I know that Roran DeGrey and Kara Larsson have both tried cooking and failed terribly (but they both keep trying ~*~thumbs up emoji~*~)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA yet another example of expectations vs reality in Aragoth tbqh  And I cry bc Cassius would probs just be like, “And whyyyy would I ever do that??????” in an au where Renfry straight out asked him bc like he’s like, “I literally got taken in by the oldest trick in the book and went in for it so hard I literally murdered every friend I ever had?  Why on earth should I ever rule a country??????”  It’s literally never even occurred to him to take the throne for himself - though I think he’s actually thought about killing Rowena on more than one occasion #awkwardromances  Tbh though that’s all been without any thought to the throne or who will rule next whatsoever.  Like, Cassius doesn’t even care about the throne????  Or who rules.  “It can’t get much worse soooooo”  But I think he learned the hard way why the Dragon Riders aren’t supposed to be leashed to the throne hahahahaha

But I feel like that whole conflict of priorities is actually true of Renfry and Cassius on basically every scenario.  Like, I feel like there is no level on which these two understand each other and mostly they just look at each other and ??????????  And Cassius thinks to himself, “Why is this guy still alive????” and just kind of sighs and he’s like, “Probs for the same reasons I’m still alive” ~*~in life the monsters win~*~

I feel like Renfry would be civil to him, tbh, bc ~dragonrider and he wants to rule the north one day and he does want to keep on good terms with the queen and her rider tbh but he’s renfry so he def makes weird comments and probably half teases cassius about some things???? (like literally the sheriff calling guy out on never changing his clothes is too real tbh) and like i can just hear lucian #face palming in the background tbh 

Alrighty, so given Isac slinking about and such, I’m sure Roderick has noticed this in the past, so he may have suspicions.  Tbh, he may not have cared tho for awhile.  However - and weirdly this may depend on Rowlin - the degree to which he reacts is a variable.

So, we had talked about how Rowlin might dangle Alia in front of Roderick, but then ultimately doesn’t want to be related to a bastard, yeah?  I can actually see this playing into things.  Ummm, depending how high Roderick’s hopes had gotten of that ~actually happening (like, what better way to prove to his father that he’s a worthwhile son, than by marrying Alia Stafford and becoming the heir to the Warden/this generation’s Moran bros, if not future Warden, himself?  So he’s actually hanging a lot on this idea).  But then, esp if it’s public humiliation style and at the last minute or whatever so he really got knocked down good and hard, I can see Roderick wanting to ~Archer voice~ rampage and I can see him basically following Isac till he hears something confirming and confronting him all “take me to your master” stylez (possibly in some degree of intoxication lbr) and like being all, “I’m in!  Let’s take this bitch down!”

Also, ngl, Roderick would looove knowing/feeling that he’s a valuable asset to the cause like “Heck yes!  See!  I matter!  Not bc of anything I contribute that someone else couldn’t granted…but we’re not gonna talk about that”  I mean, in an ideal world, Roderick would get to be Warden but tbh if he can be the runner up/someone more important than his dad and have the satisfaction of casting Rowlin down, he’s pr much in.

If it’s less of a blow, though, I think he might suspect, but Renfry might have to ~sweeten the deal a bit and sort of lure him into their cause, rather than Roderick stomping in and demanding a seat on the council bc “I can’t marry the sister he promised me?  I’ll pull him off his throne and sees how he likes me then” basically ??????

Also, I think that while Renfry’s brilliant plan was originally to murder ALL OF THE STAFFORDS and his bro to claim the seat for himself, he’s now got a new plan and that’s basically to just off Rowlin and his brother and then rule through Alia, so I can see him offering Roderick the North and being like “i don’t want to rule, i just don’t want my brother or my nephew doing it” or some lie and basically be like “i want my family’s castle and a ridiculous amount of gold and idk probs some woman but def NOt my wife” but you can have the north and alia if you want (but then he basically plans to kill roderick and then rule through alia. probably come up with some story how she’s unfit to rule b/c of grief due to the loss of her brother/uncle/husband or something) 

So Roderick isn’t much good, but he’s still better than Valles?????  (I know, way to set the bar high ;DDDD)  Anyway, I feel like he’s def used to dealing with ppl who may or may not want to drown him in a well any given day, so I doubt Renfry scares him that much, but I think he’s still wary, bc I think he can probs sniff out ~unstable minds at least????  (Karr!powers ftw)  And lbr Renfry fits that bill (but then again so do 50% of ppl in Aragoth…) 

Also, I feel like Isac is a little bit of a fail and it would be easy for Roderick to overhear something and then idk maybe he goes back to Renfry?

(as I’m thinking her family p much only had the title and the land left to their name?? So it was a nice pretty thing to wave in other people’s faces, but it’s a lot of smoke and mirrors? maybe? I’m still not solid on where all the houses stand tbh. but still meant that responsibility to keep the house going was partially on Sybil’s shoulders. and obvi she fucked off to be a pirate instead.)

I AM SO DOWN FOR A RENFRY/SYBIL FLASHBACK OMG. I SwEAR Renfry will be SUCH a charmer. 

But yeah that sounds good for Grancourt House things? Literally the only other Grancourt is Renfry’s new wife/Sybil’s aunt and no one is playing her so that’s really up to you?? (And hoenstly I CRY b/c Renfry probs thinks there’s more money coming his way than there actually is and he’ll be like I MARRIED THIS OLD LADY FOR NOTHING??!?!? All I get is this castle??) BUt OMG either way he’ll be pissed when Sybil shows up and her dad is trying ot marry her off to someone b/c then he won’t even get the Grancourt lands which would have passed to her aunt/his wife/aka him and Sybil ruins EVERYTHING and she probs goes on his hit list (which is getting longer than the Beaumont’s like whoa)
