Rena smiled and hummed to herself as she walked home from the store, carrying a bag of fresh groceries. Before she had left for school, she had noticed they were running pretty low on many things, and she wouldn't have enough to make a proper dinner. Because of this she had decided to stop at the store on her way home. Making meals was always fun for Rena, and she was excited to get home and start on dinner for herself and her dad.

As she walked past a tree, the sound of rustling and a bird caw caught her attention, and she turned to look at it, catching the sight of a bird as it flew away. She smiled at it as she watched it fly higher up in the sky, when suddenly something colorful inside the tree branches caught her attention. A bright pink axolotl stuffed animal was caught up in the branches! Rena almost dropped her groceries at the sight of it.

"Hauuuu! Oh, it's so cute! I wanna take it home with me!" She said enthusiastically, raising a hand to her cheek and resting her face against it. But, how was she going to get it? She glanced up once again. The toy was pretty high up in the tree, much too far for her to reach or climb on her own. Maybe she could ask Keiichi or Mion to help her tomorrow? But by then, maybe it would be gone, carried away by some animal or the wind. Rena glanced around. Maybe there was someone else nearby who would help?

"My family just moved in last week, but who cares!?" Chopper's little body was shaking excitedly as he squeezed her hand with his little hoof, seeming utterly entranced by the compliments she bombarded him with. Unable to help himself, he hugged her arm to his fluffy torso with with scrawny arms, looking up to her with sparkling eyes.

"You said you wanted to take me home, right? Does that mean I got invited to have dinner with a new friend? Ah! If you're my first friend in this village, that makes you my best friend here! Carrot is gonna be so proud!" His little arms instinctively clung tighter to her as Rena seemed to have bitten off more than she could chew. In seeming to find a cute thing to collect, she instead found an obligation to feed a new villager.

"Of course you can come over for dinner! I'd be happy to be your best friend!" Both of these ideas were incredibly exciting to her. Rena absolutely loved cooking, especially for her friends. And how could she ever pass up the opportunity to be the best friend of something so cute?? To her, this was one of the most amazing things in the world. She couldn't have even begun to imagine how wonderful her day would end when she woke up this morning.

Still hugging him, she added, "You can come back home with me right now, if you want! I was just about to get dinner started once I got back! You can even help!"

To think anyone in this superstitious and judgmental village would actually like him so much. He still kept the stuffed toy in his other arm and seemed to think very little of being constantly told she'd like to take him home, his mind focused on just how friendly her words were. Maybe Carrot could wait for her gift while he got to know this new friend instead.

Swaying back and forth as if dancing, Chopper sang aloud. “Calling me cute won’t make me happy, you asshole~!” Despite his words, his tone of voice and actions made it clear that he was overjoyed, to the point of not even noticing what she was saying to him.

Sadly, despite having truly been overjoyed by her halfhearted compliment, his autistic defense mechanism brought about by years of abuse was almost certain to anger her. As he happily swayed back and forth, he could only imagine how his joyous words might've offended her. He just couldn't take compliments, but was horrible at hiding his joy.

Perhaps it was similar to how she and her friends poked fun at each other, but never actually meant any harm by it.

Chopper gasped as he heard the sudden voice just as he grabbed the toy with his little hooves. It was enough to catch him off guard and make the deer-boy lose his balance. "Wh-Whoa!" With that, Chopper fell from the tree, landing on his little butt by Rena's feet, though he thankfully still had the stuffed animal with him as he impacted the ground. "Ow, ow..."

Slowly lifting his head to see the excited girl, Chopper noticed she was talking about taking something cute home, which prompted him to get a little defensive. He frowned softly, pulling the stuffed toy a bit closer to himself. "Hey, this is a gift for my little sister, Carrot. It's her birthday soon so you can't have this one!" It seemed he didn't think she was talking about how cute he was, but rather the stuffed toy.

Rena immediately became concerned after seeing him fall to the ground. "Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Considering the fact that he seemed alright, she couldn't help but add, "Oh, you looked so cute flailing around in the air like that!! Hauuu~!"

"You are so, SO cute! What's your name? Where did you come from? Oh, I just wanna take you home with me!!" She said excitedly. Being a vigilante often meant risking your life to protect others. This was the first time Mark had rescued a plushie from a tree. "I'm SuperMoon!" he replied with a smile. "I like cookies and I cry easily!" He stood in SuperMoon's signature pose and smiled.

The iridescent wings faded away within seconds when Mark covered the dove tattoo on the underside of his forearm with his hand. Indeed, his powers were unique. Mark didn't know of any vigilante that had glowing tattoos with unique powers and abilities. Mark's costume as equally impressive as his tattoos and wings were.

Mark wore an ivory colored boned bodice with a long three layered sea green sparkly ruffled tulle train that goes down to the calves. The middle layer of the tulle train is a pale pink color. Above the train was a large pink bow on the lower back with tails that go down to the knees. The bow is the same color as the lotus flower tattoo on his wrist, middle layer of the train, and boots. He wore sea green satin pants with pink knee high boots that have a silver trim. On his head, Mark had on a silver colored v-shaped forehead tiara with a little sea green jeweled moon crescent. The tattoos on his arm were overlaid by rhinestone mesh sleeves. The colors of his costume are ivory, sea green, silver, and pink.

"Wow, what a cool name!" Rena smiled. This was so exciting, she had no idea someone with super powers could actually exist!

"I like cookies, too! Actually, I have a few leftover from my lunch from school today. Would you like them?" She reached into her school bag and pulled out a metal tin, containing the six remaining sugar cookies she and her friends failed to finished earlier that day. Normally when Rena shared food with her friends, there were no leftovers. This time though, she had made extra, so she still had quite a bit.
