I don’t really have any other takes or opinions on Cameron, I just don’t like him at all. I am Richard Camerons number 1 hater, if he has no haters I am dead. Do I think he was a bad friend? Not really, I just think he has no backbone and is selfish and only really thinks about himself.

I think if the rest of the boys weren’t friends with Cameron none of this would have happened, yes Neil’s death wasn’t his fault so of course that would still happen. But I think if Cameron wasn’t friends with all them, Keatings wouldn’t have been fired, and Charlie wouldn’t have been expelled. So yes, I fully believe he is the “villain” in this story, or the point of conflict. And I feel like if people disagree with this, they just have no media literacy, because like everything happened because of Cameron. Nolan found out because of Cameron, which lead keatings being fired, and the expelling of Charlie…? Like yes maybe in the future the dead poets society might have been found out, but it wouldn’t have been tied to Neils death like the main plot — most likely. But for the time period, it might likely be the case, but we must keep in mind that even if this were to happen. None of it would be associated with Keatings because none of the boys would say it was his fault, or doing, or even say it was his idea. The only reason Keatings got the blame was because of Cameron’s false narrative. And we can go back to say it was Nolan’s idea, sure, but Cameron agreed to this whole thing. He went out of his way to selfishly throw his friends under the bus, just so he can save his own ass.

I will be honest, I do not sympathize with Cameron. Matter of fact I want him dead! People who sympathize with Richard Cameron would have done the same thing, and I don’t like them!
