Think of a theme that you usually seek out when you want to read something. Is there anything in the RemRom tag that you wish existed? Maybe there aren’t enough fics of the one theme you desperately want to see?

Some people like Fluffy themes so they would seek out First Love, domestic activities, soulmates.

I like Darker themes so I would seek out Stalking, domestic abuse, dub-con.

Another way you can help shape your prompts is deciding if you want it to be canon adjacent or completely alternate universe. Canon adjacent means scenes that happen “off screen” but can easily be traced back to canon. Here’s a list of Alternate universes. Link.

Canon Adjacent Example:

Remus likes to play a game he created when the twins were younger, How Long Does It Take For Roman To Notice That He’s Missing Items From His Room. Depending on the item Remus can keep it for what seems like weeks. However this time, when Remus takes a lime green colored object Roman notices immediately. This only peaks Remus’s interest.

When Remus entered Roman’s room to whisper the shrimp line into Roman's ear, he didn’t think it would have had any effect on Roman. Oh boy was he wrong. This makes him wonder what else can he make Roman do?

Alternative Universe Example:

Monster AU: Remus and his twin Roman suddenly learn of their monster bloodline when they wake up on their 21st birthday with extra appendages and odd powers. As society casts them out for being different, they eventually come to the conclusion that they can only turn to each other for comfort and safety.

Human AU: Remus wasn’t someone who was frightened easily. He usually enjoyed horror in fiction. But seeing all aspects of his life photographed and displayed around the salmon pink room made his blood turn cold. Roman King was not who Remus thought he was.

Lastly, if you can only think of abstract/one word ideas like “superhero”, try expanding on it by telling us what direction you want it to go in.

The life of a superhero isn’t as easy as it’s shown on tv. Staying up late to fight crime and still having to be at work on time for a meeting was seriously kicking Roman’s ass. It doesn’t help that his snobby new transferred co-worker, Remus, seemed to always bombard him with questions about his personal life. Actually his co-worker is beginning to sound very similar to his pain in the ass flirtatious enemy.

“I made you into a superhero.” “No, you made me into a murder!” The time Roman spent with Remus changed his life for the worse.
