Halloween 1995. Connecticut. In the suburban town of Blackledge, a group of high school freshmen gather for the spooky fun of their favorite holiday. As their peers shift into seeking out parties and traditionally "cooler" fare, these friends instead have held onto the simple joy of trick or treating. Anything to deny us our existence. Anything to minimize us, to keep us invisible and silent, to blame us for intracommunity issues, to invalidate us.
