so let’s say you meet at the gym because you’re both physically fit baddies (THAT’S NOT THE ONLY REASON WHY I PICKED HIM I PROMISE STICK WITH ME)

lion and stan come in one day for him to train, and that’s when he sees you boxing in one of the rings

now lion doesn’t live under a rock. he’s seen a few women’s matches at the competitions he goes to so it’s not like this is a new concept for him, but for some reason he keeps getting distracted and his gaze keeps wandering towards you (hint: it’s because you’re gorgeous) which leads to stan getting irritated and clocking him square in the nose

the two brothers bicker for a bit before stan tells him to take a break and clear his head, so lion wanders off and ends up running into you by the water fountain

a lot of nervous glances get sent your way and by the time he finally gets the nerve to say something the tips of his ears are bright red

“you uh- you’ve got a killer right hook… could totally beat my ass.” not that that’s hard, he realizes, having been on a bit of a losing streak lately. trying to recover, he clears his throat. “i’m walter-“

when all of a sudden, you hear this grating voice “lion! the hell you doing? i told you to take a break, not drool over the first pair of legs you see” stan horribly interrupts

lion appears to wince and cringe at the same time, on the verge of either knocking his brother out or passing away from humiliation

stan throws an arm over lion’s shoulder and shoots you a cocky grin “sorry doll, we’ve got work to do. but if you wanna see my lil bro in action then you should come see his match downtown this sunday!”

as stan is dragging him away, lion gives you an extremely apologetic look. “i’m real sorry about him, miss. i’m so sorry, don’t listen to him. have a good day! sorry to bother you- god dammit, stan… what the hell’s a matter with you?”

but little did he know that his idiot brother was actually being quite the wingman because as the match is about to start he sees you sitting ringside and his jaw drops and his mouth guard almost falls out

you being there gives him the motivation to try a little harder, and to his own surprise he wins! (later on once you start dating he’ll call you his lucky charm) afterwards he completely ignores everyone trying to congratulate him, just goes straight up to you with a look of wonder in his eyes and says “you came…”

getting into your actual relationship, he absolutely lovesss working out with you, whether it’s going for early morning runs together or training in the gym. one of his favorite things to do is play wrestle with you which always ends in one of you pinning the other down and covering them with kisses

you absolutely never have to worry about him bossing you around, he follows you around like a loyal dog awaiting your command actually (with a big stupid grin on his face the whole time too). if he ever wants anything from you he asks very politely, the only time he would tell you what to do is if he was very exhausted and sore so he’s kind of out of it, but even then he doesn’t sound rude at all it’s just a tired grunt

lion hasn’t ever really been the ‘going out’ type, mainly because in the small moments of time he has between work, training, and competitions he’s too exhausted to do anything else, that and he’s pretty introverted so he doesn’t really know what to do there besides stand awkwardly. but with you in his life he becomes more open to it, the two of you will start going to celebrations after he wins matches, or if you mention someplace sounds fun then he’s already planning a date night for the two of you there

stormy nights become his favorite because you two can just stay in and cuddle without expectations from anyone. he’ll specifically ask if you can read to him while he rests his head on your lap/stomach (whether it’s something you’ve written or just whatever book you’re reading he doesn’t mind, he loves both). be warned though, this will most likely end in him dozing off on top of you. not because he’s bored! he’s just so at peace and your voice soothes him so much (he’s a snorer)

i’m not sure if yearning looks can be considered a love language, but they’d definitely be his. no matter how long you’ve been together you’ll catch him multiple times a week staring at you like he can’t believe how lucky he is to have you in his life. it doesn’t matter if you’re dressed up to go out, post work out, or even getting up in the morning, he always looks at you like you’re the sun his world revolves around. if you call him out on it in the beginning of your relationship he’ll blush and look away with a small smile, but if it’s later on and he’s more comfortable he’ll say “nothin’ baby… you look beautiful. always do.” and kiss your cheek🥹
