I am embarking on a mission to inhabit diverse and interesting places for an ongoing series of longform live sets that I’m calling “ambient installations.” Each one will be a standalone experience lasting for 3-5 hours in which I’ll share my sonic interpretation of the surrounding atmosphere.

Over the past 5+ years, I’ve been developing a musical approach consisting of vulnerable live improvisation, electronically-altered guitar playing, meditative ambient textures, pulsing rhythms, and slowly-building crescendos. Each live set has been a unique and fleeting portrait, channeling the energies of both the audience and the venue itself.
To further realize one of my visions of paving new paths for live sound interaction, I’m encouraging the public to drop in and use the time to do something personally-meaningful during the sessions such as meditate, read, sketch, paint, write, make plans, reflect, or even just simply listen and observe. I intend for each installation to feel like its own unique sanctuary for introspection as well as creative focus.

Our first larger-scale gathering of the series will be on Saturday, February 25th at The Body Electric Yoga Company where I’ll be filling their huge yoga room with sound and we’ll even have a donation bar stocked with local beverages courtesy of Green Bench Brewing Co.(Event Page: Ambient Installation + Reception at The Body Electric)
