What do think about the idea of tara being a bit mean sometimes (and the oarents beig parents of the year)? Long story short about story thoughts that have been haunting my mind: both parents are absent and theo is sick, so she ended up parentified. Of course, she takes care of her little brother, but she resents it sometimes, and sometimes she ends up lashing on him. Then one day her diary is lost, tara thinks it is him and starts questioning, until he gets an asthma attacks and grabs the pump away from his hand while saying she will return if he promises to tell her where her diary is, yet this time their parents see it, and they just tell her about Theo's heart defect and how she should treat him well as he might not live too long. Then Tara feels guilty and starts treating him very well, but baby theo heard that and now everything makes sense on why his health is getting worse...

i actually like the idea of tara being mean! i honestly thought about writing mean/evil tara for the whumptober, a version that she didn't actually die but she was taken instead of theo, and then resents him for it, despite it not being his fault this time. so she would be back to haunt him AND ruin scott's pack, but before that, ive already considered writing her more as a distant sister as well, cuz i thought it could be an interesting view of things. i already hc theo having asthmatic bronchitis and being a very weak, skinny, and quiet boy (im kinda projecting, but i feel like it could make sense for why theo was easier manipulated into getting his sister's heart), being a bit distant from his family could also be a tool for him to believe in the dread doctors and do what he did to be a better version of himself. like, erica, isaac, and boyd with derek. stronger, confident, powerful—but also, easily manipulated by others. and, well, he was a kid. eight or nine years old? plus, the dread doctors are fucking scary and all the chimeras had a hard time being haunted by them. even teen theo was scared of them—also, hurt by them.
on the other note, your idea is really interesting! i would definitely read that. i love fics with tara, i, in fact, think that should have more fics with tara in it. she's too underrated, despite being theo's sister. i love seeing her relationship with theo, regardless of how it is, good or bad, it's a dynamic that i enjoy reading and making content for.
