the amount of water I drink is insane (16-20oz of water an hour and I probably should be drinking a little more than that).

the amount I sweat is insane. usually the humidity is so low that it’s hard to notice, except my hair will be soaked under my hat. but during monsoon season (July-ish through Sept-ish) when the humidity is higher (like 20% humidity! wow! so high!) I’ll have sweat pouring in my eyes.

being hot is exhausting. an activity that’s no problem in the winter totally wipes me out in the summer.

having shade makes so much difference. if I’m in the shade, I can feel okay even if it’s 110-115 degrees, but the sun is brutal. low humidity makes the sun’s UV intensity higher, so stepping from shade into direct sunlight is like “oh shit, it’s hot.”

when it’s really hot (110 and above) and windy, it’s like I’m in a dry sauna and then someone got out an enormous hairdryer and is blasting it right at me and I think to myself “what the fuck did I do to deserve this treatment?” but when it’s not too hot (100 degrees or less) then some wind feels nice.

even when it’s not windy, I somehow always end up with dirt up my nose. /shrug

my eyes get crusty and goopy and full of dust, too. and even wearing sunglasses they’ll start to feel sore from the bright sunlight after a while

Also, the sun is killing me. Patrolling the Mojave makes you wish for a nuclear winter. etc. etc. But really, it’s not supposed to still be 100 degrees at the fall equinox. Here, have a picture of the Mojave with a bit of Lake Mead in the background.

Water

Your element is WATER. There is a lot of depth to you, probably much more than you let on. You prefer peace and little conflict but have no issue standing your ground when you are wronged.
