Over winter these birds often visit us on the south Cornwall coast. On this particular day both the restart and chiffchaff were down by the beach on hillside beside the promenade and chose to come down to the steps by the gig boat house .

Walk along the Cornish coast and the views can change from day to day. The light, the sky, the sea, all of these change with the season, and even within minutes, as clouds come and go, sometimes gently sometimes at great pace.
