Cheering on Romi is great, but I’ve seen a few posts now celebrating Romi with the message “she was better than him anyway”, as though sub watchers had better taste from the beginning or the ability to predict the future. Like dub watchers brought this on themselves by liking the inferior VO in the first place. Also, maybe which performance was better isn’t the point???

I’m literally shaking with anger as I type this. I was just coming on this morning thinking maybe I should apologize for putting my collective anger on you when I was really upset about multiple posts praising Romi just to rub it in on people who like the dub, when you only made one and didn’t deserve to be blamed for all of them. Now I see my anger went exactly where it should.

I NEVER denied that Vic did awful things. It’s BECAUSE we know that he did awful things that we are hurting, why the hell would you think otherwise????

You could have just apologized for being rude, but instead you had to do that thing all jerks do where they claim it was “just a joke”, when it wasn’t.

To everyone else choosing this particular moment to come out as Romi Park stans, just be aware, your posts about her being better than Vic aren’t coming off as feminist or as a genuine celebration of her talent, they are coming off as you being pricks rubbing it in on people who have been having a hard time because of Vic. Maybe that’s not what you all intended, it was rude of me to assume anyone’s motives, but that’s how it comes off. Just another round of “we’re better because we watch subs”, but infinitely more poisonous. I’m glad that’s not what you were trying to say OP, but that is how it reads.

Also, not directed at OP in particular but I think it needs to be said, every time you make a post celebrating Vic’s downfall because he was “never that talented in first place”, you reinforce the idea that there’s some level of talent he might have had that would have made what he did okay. There isn’t. His talent or lack there of has absolutely nothing to do with why he’s trash, stop implying that it does.

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and MY opinion is that Romi Park was better. So if you wanna bash down my opinion that gO THE FUCK AHEAD MAN HAHAHA.

Romi Park is amazing. Romi Park deserves praise. You and anyone else are entitled to love her and think that she did a better job with the role, and I would never take that away from anyone. But I'm going to go ahead and say for the third time that which of them did a better job of playing Ed isn't even remotely the point of what's going on in this fandom right now.
