technically, the importance of having a soulmate wasn’t one of Kristoff’s biggest cares. In all honestly, he could care less about whom he ended up with, in the long-run. But the entire planet was so obsessed with those countdowns on their wrists— the way that, for some reason, they de- picted when and whom your soulmate was. But it was days like this, the rare hours, where the blond cared just a little bit more than he wanted to. Especially now, with that tiny clock diminishing before his very eyes. — 00 : 05 : 23 . Just five more minutes, the man thought to himself. Yet, a mere five minutes seemed like an eternity to him. It was like he was in some trance— barely able to register his own fingers darting to press the bright elevator buttons, to reach the highest floor. Almost tripping an old lady in the process, with his big foot sticking out, as he leaned against the wall. But it was all a haze to him, as the elevator slowly emptied out. — 00 : 01 : 48 . So close, yet so far from his apparent destiny. But would he even like this designated person? Would he even care for his other half? What would occur if they weren’t— A buzz shook the blond from his thoughts, as the elevator pried open. — 00 : 00 : 00 . Beautiful, seemingly endless pools of green is all he saw. The intensity of it all shook Kristoff to his core— the feeling of finding his other half so over- whelming that he wouldn’t tried to laugh it off, if it weren’t for how positively taken he was with the mere sight of his soulmate’s eyes. And so, with a tilt of his head, he scanned over the man’s face— Only to find that he’s known this person, from long ago. Back when the world didn’t have these little markings, he’d met this man. This sinfully perfect man that, at one point, had been the grab of his best friend’s attention. Back before the countdowns began to happen. But now, as he pushed off of the wall, and reached out to grab at Hans’ wrist to confirm that yes, his heart was meant for mine, too, there was no care for their past in his mind. There was only him. ❛So, you’re the guy, huh? You’re the one that was meant to be mine?❜ — Not that he was actually complaining.
