I agree with you when you said they should focus more on normani herself and not bring up stuff that hurt her. But it's cross-promotion. Camila when her debut came out she released that bullshit sob story about her crying when they ''threw her'' offstage to get promo for her album and it seems like it's normani time now. But no one should ever try to silence a black woman from speaking about the struggles she faced. C's fans were disgusting and C never being direct about it is disgusting too.

I believe there’s some cross-promotion here, but this is a line that shouldn’t be crossed. If you think about it, Normani’s team is giving cross-promotion to someone who most of her fans believe to be racist and that contradicts her whole message. It’s best she either doesn’t talk about Camila or, if she chooses to, she does it in a way everybody can move forward and have some sort of resolution (if possible).

Like, “I talked to her about it when the first messages came out. It hurt to know someone I love like a sister has written such things and I let her know of that. Camila was very ashamed of her own behavior and apologized, but that can’t change the things she’s done” - But that would break the narrative, so it’s a big no for now.

Normani should speak up about all the struggles she’s faced. But perhaps this story was tinted with the journalist’s interpretation. We know 5H’s management didn’t react the way they should have. But the girls? I refuse to believe that. As someone who believes in OT5, I think the girls would have listened to and supported Normani. Even Camila. Their bts pics just prove there wasn’t any bad blood between them anymore.

Also, Camila is not responsible for her “fans’” behavior and she might not have had the permission to be direct about it. I mean, she could rebel against it and defend Normani regardless, but who’s to say there wasn’t something worse for the both of them? As we see mostly what is shown to use, how can we be sure that Camila didn’t support Normani privately?
