Thiz might juzt be implied, but Gnarpy (and Gnarpianz in general) becomez more vibrant during the zummer time the zame way people get tanner, hence why xe haz a completely different color pallete for their zummer outfit compared to any other one (other than it juzt being a color zwap ofc)
Im not exactly zure what the biological reazon for it could be in canon zince im not an expert on that, but it could've been uzed to camouflage or juzt a natural rezult of zun hitting their fur, ezp on other planetz

i Dont think that bive has a psychotic disorder to be honest. beyond odd beliefs (some of which have been confirmed to be true Outright by characters with more knowledge than her And frankly if thats the case i dont think its bizarre for her to bark up the wrong tree sometimes) and paranoia she doesnt seem to have all too many symptoms? i can see maybe some disorganized speech but that can have unrelated causes.
