This AU has almost over two years worth of content. - two-souls au - A sub-AU of Two-Dads. It's a Dark Souls-inspired AU where Bruce has been slain by Harvey and the kingdom of Gotham threatens to have the Fire fade. Harvey and Jason's relationship are still the focal point of this AU. I have stopped posting about this AU considering it doesn't do well on Tumblr and I probably won't post anything in the future unless I really, REALLY like a piece for it I've done. I'm still open to answering asks about it (not that anyone will ask about it, LOL). - jayby AU - Another sub-AU of Two-Dads. Kinda. Not much content for this one yet. This in AU where, after Harvey kills Willis, he takes in a very young Jason and attempts to raise him.

If this is true, this is... really weird TBH. Why would you not give the more obvious money cow precedent over a more risky film from a director who reallyyyy isn't in a good reputational position as far as I'm aware. I guess there are reasons for it but I'm too tired RN to explore those reasons.

I did see some people briefly mention this on the DC server but didn't look further into it.

Everyone knows it's gone through script hell, but the longer they delay it, the more nervous I get for it, like, actually vomit-inducing anxiety because that's what the autism does.

For the animation GIFs, I reference and study actual anime scenes (which I always tag as #sakuga reference: [anime name] in the tags, if I did use one, but I don't use them all the time), and I've actually used myself as a reference for some movement too, LOL (the one of Harvey and Jason in the car listening to the radio where Jason kicks it... I videoed myself kicking for that one, LOL).

I've seen two "artists" now whose covers just stink of AI usage.

What associates to the greek pantheon or any other pantheon do you think Jason or any other DC character has?

Apollo was also the God of prophecy (I like to twist this into fate), truth, healing and disease, and was said to have been very handsome, and that latter reason is why he was named Apollo more right back from his first appearance. :] I also associate Two-Face with Dionysus, embodying madness and pleasure, and he was also the half-brother of Apollo.

Jason and other characters are pretty tough. Greek mythos contains a plethora of figures, all with different tragedies and symbolism, and it's *really* hard to just pick one for them.

Jason, in a way, could be Icarus. Given wings by his father and then flying too close to the sun (adventuring out and trying to take down Joker himself). But, of course, Icarus stays dead. So, then Jason could also be Sisyphus. Sisyphus died, and in his death, he was punished by the Gods for being clever and "arrogant", and the rock he was eternally forced to push could be symbolic of Jason's struggle to be good for Gotham, his inner turmoil of fighting between his strong moral code as Red Hood and his yearning to be something like Robin again. He may very well do it eternally until he finds peace with it.

However, Bruce could also be viewed as Sisyphus, and his rock is Gotham.

If you want to ignore the awful lore of Zeus and many of the Gods, you could have some fun symbolism with Bruce as Zeus, and Dick, Jason, Tim and Damian as the four winged enforcers, who were all siblings: Kratos, Nike, Bia and Zelos.

Random one, but Tommy Elliot would definitely be Dolus, the God of disguise and trickery, hehe.

Outside of Greek stuff is soooo vast, you could go into Egyptian mythology (which has VASTLY different versions of their stories) and equate Dick and Jason (or Bruce and Jason) to Set and Horus (if you ignore a bunch of fucked up stuff, or don't, go crazy, IDC), and ahhh, there's just so much so I won't delve into it, but there is something from Irish folklore that I heavily associate with Bruce and Jason.

In Irish folklore (Irish Paganism IIRC), robins (the birds, of course), are associated with death and rebirth. A lot of people here believe that when a robin is seen in the garden, it's a dead loved one come to visit.
