i find it hilarious that some people donβt realise that CG is FUN. nobody is forcing us to do this, weβre not coping, weβve spotted out some pretty weird stuff and weβre having fun throwing ideas around. iβve talked with so many cool people and had the time of my life on this tag. i genuinely donβt understand why that drives people so crazy.

I haven't watched season 5 since January. This current rewatch is slow, like taking me a month, but I'm getting through it. I had to brace myself a few days for Will's coming out scene. Haven't made a Conformitygate post since February.
SO TELL ME WHY THERE IS A CLOCK TICKING IN THE BACKGROUND MUSIC OF WILL'S COMING OUT SCENE!?!?!?!
I had to pause netflix to see if my desk was just rocking or something, but nope, there is distinctly a clock ticking sound (different from Vecna's but a clock nonetheless).
I HATE THIS SHOW I HATE IT.
No confirmation yet, but releasing VHS editions of the show, one season at a time, starting with S1 today, would be the smartest move Netflix could make with the series.
They could gradually add new content from season to season, leading up to S5. Then, finally, release S5 in its originally rumored duration, with an extra 1β2 hours per episode, or even better, a Side B.
Maybe the changes wouldn't be obvious in S1, but the GA would slowly realize there's actually new content as the differences become more significant, thanks to Brenner's tape manipulation. That would naturally encourage people to revisit the show from the beginning (= more subscriptions).
They could release all five seasons over the span of five months, in one season per month style (= more subscriptions), ending it with S5 properly on November 6.
I'd take this if Netflix is committed to it.

imo this is really great conformitygate proof because the direct sunlight stream, while also sometimes associated with grief, aligns pretty heavily in the show with major vecna targets
that's el, max, nancy, hopper, will, alice (scene is foreshadowing holly), and now mike. generally happening in the season directly beforehand. it's a very very very consistent pattern. the main characters who have had direct contact and visions are pretty much covered.
