The devil is and always will be a gentleman

The gun is plucked from his hands from someone who shouldn’t be there. Jerked from it’s place at his temple, the heaviness in his throat interrupted by the impossible. Locked hotel rooms you pay for are supposed to be empty. It was empty, not a minute ago when his eyes swept through in a cursory glance.

But there she was, fiddling with his gun like it was her god given right to do so. It takes him a minute to recognize her dress, her face. Tulle. Frothy and pink with flats on her feet, ribbons that climbed up ankles in parody of ballerina shoes. 

There is no sign of the wine he’d spilled in a drunken sense of superiority. There is no sign of malice in her posture, despite her sudden appearance, despite the words he remembers saying. The situation is altogether more confusing than alarming, until he spots another in the shadows.

He has just enough time to recognize him as the gentleman who’d ripped his insults to shreds after he’d called her immature when metal is pressed into his hand. 

She smiles, and the jeweled hilt glints up at him. It’s as if it was a plaything being exchanged instead of a dagger. The way she stands, the way her eyes grin with excitement as if benignly eager for whatever is to come begins to unnerve him. The breath sticks in his throat as she tells him,

Ok so this has been lying around for exactly a year now and I guess I’ll never polish this up properly so here it is.

☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ AND 2018 COMES TO AN END — but not without one final ‘ THANK YOU ! ‘

Looking back onto this year, we call can agree that it has been DIFFICULT. Life threw us all into the deepest pit it could find and attempted to bury us down. And for some — myself included — that was what life was like throughout the year. But there is always balance in life. For everything bad, something GOOD happens. For all the pain, we feel LOVE. For all the friendship lost, WE OPEN NEW DOORS FOR NEW FRIENDS TO JOIN OUR LIVES.  And for many — myself included — that was what life was like at the end of the year.  Life has a funny way to teach us. What once seemed dumb and unreasonable, now makes sense. What is confusing now, will clear up in the future. We are constantly enriching our lives, and on my, and everyone else’s, pursue of happiness, we can make a better future for ourselves. We become stronger. Smarter. Happier. We surround ourselves with people who enrich our lives and makes us feel loved. And with that knowledge, I want to thank you. Thank you all for supporting, helping and loving me. For understanding and being kind and calm. I wish I could do much, much more than this post; but please do know that I love and adore all of you. Each one of my followers. Each one of my friends.
