maybe let’s keep the franchise that literally has a non negotiable “teenage” in the title like. away from the babies. maybe come up with something original.

don’t come at me with that “but this will make new tmnt fans!” bullshit. i can’t even describe how incorrect that take is.

the YOUNGEST demographic tmnt should ever get is who 87 was aimed towards. how about this: if you want your kids to watch tmnt, let them watch 87. why do we have to paw patrolify everything.

i’m sick of seeing posts on here like “i honestly don’t hate it, i think it’s kinda cute!” because you are missing the point entirely. i don’t care how many children will like teeny mutant ninja turtles after watching the “show”. it doesn’t matter.

tmnt is not for babies. it never has been. the original image for the franchise had nothing to do with children under 10.

you people clearly have not seen the mirage comics.

i didn’t want to make this post because i know i seem like an asshole saying this, but someone has to. i’m sick of the bad takes. it’s not about opinion at this point; it’s about supporting slop for babies. kids deserve good shows too.

someone said “this show is for two year olds so if you don’t like it don’t watch it” and somehow fails to realize that the fact that two year olds are watching any type of slop like this is bad. it’s not even about tmnt anymore.

cocomelon, paw patrol, spidey and friends. all that shit and more are cheap (especially recently) capitalistic cash grabs that i’m sick of seeing rot kids brains.

maybe i’m crazy but how about we bring back 2d animation. if you wanna show your kids tmnt, show them any of the shows. that’s real tmnt. then decide if it’s for kids or not.

maybe i’m judging too soon. whatever. i’ll watch it and come back with an update on my thoughts. at this point, though, from what i’ve seen, this is complete bullshit.

also, don’t say a WORD about the “classic tmnt fan hating the newest iteration” because thats a completely separate issue. that issue derives from fans being upset their own show was cut or that it ended so the next one could be made and be in the spotlight. THIS SITUATION. is vastly different.

here, we are hating because it’s disrespectful to what kevin eastman and peter laird originally wanted for the series. go look it up if you don’t believe me.

all in all, i’m tired of this.
