"Why do you need a reminder, huh? Don’t you just feel the love?" Niall asks, squinting his eyes at his supposed bromantic love of his life. He theatrically bows, proud of himself, but still happier to dive into Reed’s arms. "Even better, she’ll be there and she can see us very much happy. Is there a dance floor at American reunions? If so, I demand you dip me." He says seriously, because even though Reed’s totally the girl he’s still the taller one. "There you go! Way to pick up the culture. I will even do a speech to what an amazing person you are, it will be awesome."

"Of course, I feel the love, you weirdo," He laughs, kissing Niall's cheek just to prove how real their romance really is. "Woah, don't want people getting the wrong idea though. It might spread across social media and Harley will think I've stolen you away from her. That'd probably ruin your chances, man," He points out because he will not be responsible for the downfall of Niall's love life. "This speech better make headline news and you need to slap this one awful teacher in the face because she called me a failure, but look at me today! I'm curled up on the couch with 1/5 of the most successful boyband in the world."

It's A Bromance || Reed and Niall

"My flirting doesn’t count as silly chat though," Niall clarifies, because he still plans to do that. "Fantastic choice!" He praises, hopping up and doing somersault over to put the DVD in. Rejoining Reed on the couch, the movie starts playing with the standard amazing character development of an Emma Roberts movie. "I will totally go with you for your school reunion if she doesn’t. Blow all those bastards out of the water."

"I love when you flirt with me. It reminds me that you and I have the best bromance of all time," Reed replies, poking Niall's shoulder. He claps at the somersault and wraps his arms around the other as soon as he gets back. "I mean..it's her school too, so even if she didn't go with me, she'd still go," He chuckles, ruffling the singer's hair. "But, I'd like that very much, thank you. Yes, Niall Horan is one of my best mates. That's what they say in Europe," He mocks, as if he were showing Niall off to everyone from his old school.

Unless they're super strict about the way they like their fur and you're doing it wrong. I want a husky! They're so cute and fluffy and they have the coolest eyes ever!

"An incredibly busy night. You’re booked solid with cuddles and alcohol, there’s no time for this silly chit chat." He scolds, going over and grabbing the first five he thinks Reed will like before dumping them on Reed’s lap. "Pick whatever you want, I’m up for anything." He steps out for a minute to put away his empty beers and get them both fresh ones for whenever Reed finishes his. A blanket in hand, he returns to the couch and rests his head on Reed’s shoulder, peering over to see which one he picked. 

"Silly chit chat is the worst," He agrees with a small yawn, downing some of his own beer. He looks through the movies and hums to himself, deciding on the Emma Roberts movie he has yet to see. "This one," He murmurs, eyeing the back of the case as he cuddles closer to Niall, pulling the blanket over them both.

"Holy shit, you were practically a machine. I really like to eat, mate, but that’s impressive." He doesn’t know whether to pat him on the back or make him talk through his feelings instead of eating them but either way he ends up scooting over so he’s not lying on Reed’s lungs and both of them are in reach of their drinks. "We should watch a really funny movie. I’ve got like ten I’ve been wanting to watch but haven’t got around to." He says, motioning towards the shelf where his DVDs are all lined up. He keeps his house pretty neat, so the only things not in their places are the mail and one of Harley’s jackets.

"Yeah, eating is comforting and all that," He shrugs, patting Niall's tummy as soon as he slides off him. "Oh yeah? Ten? That's a whole lot of movies. Looks like we've got a busy night ahead of us," He laughs, allowing his lips to curl up slightly. "So um…what first?" He asks, finishing off the first poptart and moving straight on to the next.

"You know what, Reed?" He says, sitting up so he can tug his hands away from his hair and nudging his chin up so his eyes open. "You’re a great fucking person, like seriously, you’re one of the best I know. You’re funny and cute, so please don’t do this to yourself. Let’s eat food and drink beer until we can’t see straight, okay?"

Reed pulls his t-shirt up to rub at his eyes, because maybe he was a little teary, maybe not, but no one except Niall really needs to know that. "Food. Beer," He responds, taking another bite of his slightly forgotten poptart. "I'm really good at emotional binge eating, you know?" He informs Niall, talking a little faster than usual. "One time when I was really upset I ate five slices of pizza, three little microwavable mac and cheeses, two cosmic brownies and a whole tub of cookie dough."

"Oh babe," Niall sighs, because it’s so hard to hear Reed like this and he can’t imagine what it would be like if he actually got his heart broken. "I know you do, yeah? But we can’t just assume it’s happening until you know it’s for sure." He says, trying to be logical. "They’re not the one if you’re not their one too."

"I'm not sure I even want to know the answer," He admits, shaking his head. It would almost be better to pretend everything was fine and have Amelia than find out she was cheating and not have her. "She's the one," He replies, completely sure of himself. Reed shuts his eyes again and runs his fingers through his hair, tugging lightly. "I love her so much," He says, rubbing his eyes.

"The cutest dog on the planet, and I’ll make Harry mow the lawn on Saturdays." He promises, trying to think of other white picket references he can make. "Loads of kids. They’re going to look like Harley and me, but you’ll be the third father in spirit." He explains, leaning up to play with Reed’s hair. 

Reed swallows and let his head flop back into Niall's fingers. "I just want that with Amelia…you know? She's always been the one for me. I just…what happens when the one doesn't want you back?" He asks, his voice cracking slightly as he opens his eyes to look at Niall.
