The Story of Jade Marie Rose. A Solo D&D Lite Story
Jade has walked long enough to where can't see the Rose Forest, as well as the village of Arkron.
Jade was walking alongside the dirt path, with a sunflower farms along east side of the path. The other side having a forest with branches reaching over the path.
Jade hears what seems to be a twig breaking that is coming from the forest. she glances over but pays no attention and continues to walk.
Then she hears a tree falling over making loud snapping sounds.
She hears someone screaming.
Jade turns around and runs straight into the forest, without thinking she also brought her bags.
Jade is running through the forest as fast as she can, moving branches and jumping over them.
She finally finds the tree that had fallen over, underneath it was a person.
Jade got to the tree and noticed it wasn't a big tree, it was still a sizeable tree.
The person underneath the tree was unconscious.
Jade used all of her strength to push to tree of the person.
(To move the tree the DC was 15, Jade rolled a 7, +1 modifier.)
Unfortunately, Jade was unsuccessful at moving the tree.
Jade knew she had to help out the person, since she can't move the tree.
Jade dropped her bags next to this tree and walked around to find any sticks, twigs and dead grass.
She put them into a pile near to the person. Grabs her bags and finds some matches and lights a fire.
Jade waits near the person. She looks at the person and notices this person is a man. A man with clothing that looks fancier than anything she's seen before.
Jade sits by this man for hours and hours, nearing dusk, until the man groans and moans and he's awake now.
The man freaks out a little and Jade calms the man down. Jade tells him that a tree landed on him and she tried moving the tree off of him but couldn't move it.
She tells him to wait here while she finds some animals. But as she's walking away the man tells her;
"Wait, don't do that. The reason why I am out here is that I am Forester Officer and I was tasked with finding a fungus that has been affecting the local animals. People have been eating infected animal meat."
Jade doesn't go and takes out her food rations that she was saving for later and starts cooking it. She tells the Forester Officer.
"Thanks for letting me know, thank goodness I didn't do that earlier."
The Forester Officer tells her, "Your Welcome." And tell Jade his name, Nolan Jans. Then Jade tells Nolan her name.
Nolan gives his thanks for helping him out. Jade tell him to not worry about.
She tells him to eat up so later on they both can move the tree together. Nolan tells her that, "The tree is not crushing me but its also not a snug and cozy spot to be in."
After eating their food they wait for their food to settle, but in doing so they accidentally fall asleep.
(Rolled a d20 to see if they fell asleep. It landed on 19 which means definitely did)
Its just after dawn when they wake up and say good mornings.
They take some time to wake up.
They are fully awake and ready to move the tree.
They both start pushing the tree, but the don't fully move the tree off of Nolan. His arm is still under the tree.
Jade hold the tree in place while Nolan tries to move his arm out but can't.
He then uses his other hand to dig the dirt under his arm to free his arm at last.
(Rolled a d20 to see if Nolan can get his arm out. I rolled a 7 which lands on maybe, which means he does but with another condition)
They cheer to each other for a job well done.
Nolan tries to stand but his knees got banged up a little.
So Jade grabs her bags and helps Nolan to the path.
