I’ve had mixed luck with pie crust before, so I thought I’d practice and try my hand at some pie art in the new year!

Guys, I’m not kidding.

Suicide-baiting, cyberharassmemt, cyberstalking, death/rape threats, and hate speech are illegal in all 50 states as well as Australia and the UK.

Some places include school suspension or expels. Some even include jail time for multiple years.

And yes, they can find someone by username or IP alone.

Also, yes. There are methods of catching someone’s IP. Even under a VPN.

So.

Next time you get hit with anon hate?

Casually remind them you can very easily take this to the next level. And they can earn jail time while you lay back in your chair, having saved yourself and everyone else from a violent criminal.

Your online actions have real life consequences.

Make sure they learn that.

(Just in case there’s a “the police wouldn’t do that” - Yes. They absolutely would.

Or a “I can handle it.” No. That person will continue to harass others as well. And one of them may not be as strong as you. So do it for them and everyone else.

Or a “It’s not that severe.” Yes. It is. People have died because of this. It really is that severe.)

Hmm, this is a hard one because i don’t really know in which format to write it, so bear with me!

I’m still on semi hiatus, but i got inspired reading other people’s writing and wanted to write a little something too!

For Josuke: 

Ice cream, the sun, and a summer-like day reminds him of Okuyasu. 

Stuffed toys and a deep bass in a song reminds him of Koichi.

The ocean and rats reminds him of Jotaro.

Any kind of physical pain reminds him of Rohan.

For Okuyasu:

Smell of cologne,hair products and spaghetti reminds him of Josuke.

Little frogs and lizards reminds him of Koichi. (He thinks Echoes act 1 and 2 look like one of those.)

White, clean clothes and any kind of hat reminds him of Jotaro.

Rich snobby people reminds him of Rohan.

For Koichi:

Kindness, plump lips and fashion reminds him of Josuke.

Gyms, faint smell of sweat and scars reminds him of Okuyasu.

Quiet people, strenght and wisdom reminds him of Jotaro.

Smell of a new manga, brushes and arrogance reminds him of Rohan.

For Rohan:

Any kind of physical pain reminds him of Josuke.

Brute people and stupidity reminds him of Okuyasu.

Friendship, high pitched noises and bonsais reminds him of Koichi.

Reliability, knowledge and fish reminds him of Jotaro.

For Jotaro:

Banchos, turtles and the colour pink reminds him of Josuke.

Reliableness, cheery people and cute stuff reminds him of Koichi.

Air-headed people and money reminds him of Okuyasu.

Manga, expensive clothing and vehicles reminds him of Rohan.

It is a different kind of request than the ones i usually get, so i hope you like it!

Eating Chinese food, watching Bollywood movies, going to see Cambodian dancers, or learning to speak Korean so you can watch every K drama in existence is totally fine. The invitation to participate in those things came from within those cultures. The Mexican family that owns the place where I get fajitas wants me to eat fajitas. Their whole business model kind of depends on it, actually. 

If you see something from another culture you think you might want to participate in, but you don’t know if that would be disrespectful or appropriative, you can just…ask. Like. A Jewish friend explained what a mezuzah was to me, recently. (It’s the little scroll-thing near their front doors that they touch when they come into their house. It basically means “this is a Jewish household.”)

“Oh, cool,” I said. “Can I touch it? Or is it only for Jewish people?”

“You can touch it or you can not touch it,” she said. “I don’t care.”

“Cool, I’m gonna touch it, then.”

“Cool.”

It’s not hard.

He was 23 when his first novel was published. After six years of writing professionally every single day. The Carpet People was a lovely novel, from a lovely writer, but almost all of Terry’s iconic truth bomb lines come from Discworld.

The Colour of Magic, the first ever Discworld novel was published in 1983. Terry was 35 years old. He had been writing professionally for 18 years. His career was old enough to vote, get married and drink. We now know that at 35 he was, tragically, over half way through his life. And do you know what us devoted, adoring Discworld fans say about The Colour of Magic? “Don’t start with Colour of Magic.”

It is the only reading order rule we ever give people. Because it’s not that great. Don’t get me wrong, very good book, although I’ll be honest I’ve never been able to finish it, but it’s nowhere near his later stuff. Compare it to Guards Guards, The Fifth Elephant, the utterly iconic Nightwatch and it pales in comparison because even after nearly 20 years of writing, half a lifetime of loving books and storytelling Terry was still learning.

He was a man with a wonderful natural talent, yes. But more importantly he worked and worked and worked to be a better writer. He was writing up until days before he died.  He spent 49 years learning and growing as a writer, taking so much joy in storytelling that not even Alzheimer’s could steal it from him. He wouldn’t want that joy stolen from you too.

Terry was a wonderful, kind, compassionate, genius of a writer. And all of this was in spite of many many people telling him he wasn’t good enough. At the age of five his headmaster told him that he would never amount to anything. He died a knight of the realm and one of the most beloved writers ever to have lived in a country with a vast and rich literary tradition. He wouldn’t let anyone tell him that he wasn’t good enough. And he wouldn’t want you to think you aren’t good enough. He especially wouldn’t want to be the reason why you think you aren’t good enough. 

You’re not Terry Pratchett.
