As the duo watched her Persona, she watched them, utterly enchanted with the red lion and the grace with which she moved. If only the circumstances had been better! Or perhaps - some childish facet of herself she normally kept under lock and key chimed in - the circumstances were just right. When else would she be able to see Keithâs piloting skills in action?Â
There was little else that the gesture could have been. As far as she was aware, there were no other means of entry in to the cockpit. Elation wells in her chest and a genuine smile spreads across her face as Naoto waved up towards Redâs eyes - assuming that Keith could see through them - before making the journey through the lionâs maw, Sukuna Hikona trailing behind.
On any other occasion, the detective would have taken her time - so much to observe! - but today was not a day for frivolities. Between their companions, Keith and Naoto held the possibility of potentially doing great damage to the cityâs threat, something she would surely have to bring to his attention. The gravity of it all slightly outweighed the pride and excitement the girl was wearing on her sleeve, pulling her professional demeanor back in to place as she joins the pilot in the cockpit.
âItâs good to see the two of you reunited I take it youâre doing well?.âÂ
ăâŚăâ  He watched through Redâs eyes as Naoto waved at him from outside, noting her look of fascination as she stared upon his lion. It filled Keithâs chest with a strange sort of emotion, part warmth and part pride. He couldnât help but be delighted, somehow, that the quiet detective girl seemed to love Red, looking at her not as some machine but as what she was, a sentient being of grace and beauty. The paladin puffed out his chest almost unconsciously, patting a control stick fondly as if to congratulate the lion on being so wonderful, so amazing and powerful. Really, sometimes he thought being her pilot was an honor too great for him, even if he had been chosen.
It took only moments for Naoto to make her way into the cockpit, the red lights bathing her face in varying shades of crimson and turning her blue clothes a dark scarlet. It made Keith feel almost self-conscious, having her there. No one had ever been in Redâs cockpit before, not while he had been her paladin, and suddenly he was aware of how overwhelming it all might be. But really, he didnât need to worry. One look at the detectiveâs face was all it took to know that she loved it there, loved all of it. A low purr rumbled deep in his chest, Red signalling her approval in the only way she could, and it brought a smile to Keithâs face.
â Welcome aboard Ride Voltron, please keep all hands and feet inside the vehicle. â A rare joke from him, but he was in a good mood now. A hand was placed almost affectionately on the dashboard at Naotoâs question. â Iâm glad to have her back, if thatâs what you mean. â A small pause. â She likes you, by the way. â
