OPEN STARTER / LOCATION: outside gallagher ballroom, in the hallway.

“hey,”  he’s  had  this  bottle  hidden  away  for  a  few  months  now,  locked  in  the  back  of  his  closet  since  he  got  it  in  the  mail  (  there’s  a  few  good  things  about  having  friends  back  home  who  care  about  you  ).  here  he  sits,  away  from  milena  for  the  first  time  all  night,  in  the  hallway.  alone.  it  could  be  worse  (  no,  it  couldn’t  )  -  but  he’s  fine  with  it,  even  if  he  wants  some  company.  eye  contact  is  made  with  someone  coming  out  of  the  ballroom,  holding  up  the  bottle.  “want  some?”  / @gallagherstart· !

      Calypso makes a ‘hm’ sound, brown eyes sweeping the room as she thinks it over. “I don’t know. I’ve seen Rafa dominate the poker table. But looks wise, definitely like, Grey or Leo or that Aidan guy. It’s all in the emo aesthetics.”

                   BALLROOM, some time in the middle of the night —   matt looks up and then around. it was hard to imagine that this was the same place as where the new year’s eve and valentines’ day party were held. props to the party organizers. perhaps, it was enough to forget all the things that went down for the past six or seven months of their lives.   “ will i be crazy to say that i’m actually going to miss this place? or at least, will always remember it? “   matt says in disbelief to no one in particular.   //  @gallagherstart·

Was this the night she thought she would have? Absolutely not. She had been trying not to care about not having her date show up in time– because she still had hopes that he would show up. Who had that much interest in her only to disappear without a word? It seemed unlikely. And she could say all she wanted about being okay on her own– she had danced with Calypso, she had bonded over being dateless with a couple other ladies, but she was bothered. Even more so when Red finally showed up, corsage in hand? Who even did corsages anymore? It was kind of cute, though. Something teenage Sage would have wanted. “It’s fine,” she said, drunkenly so. “Just… I guess I just thought you’d gone home early or whatever.”

Red would never forgive himself for possibly ruining Sage's night and he had no idea what to do to make up for her. “I know it wasn’t cool, another time I’ll tell you what happened, but just know it wasn’t my intention to let you come alone or take all this time to get here. Tell me what I can do to make you feel better, please.” He asked while holding the arrangement idly. “I had some problems at home, but I couldn’t leave without first coming and meeting you. But don’t worry, everything is fine over there.” He lied giving one more of his convincing fake smiles, it’s not like he was going to make her worried in the middle of the party. “Your dress and your hair, everything, you really look beautiful.” He stated raising his other hand to a few strands of her hair on the side of her face, carefully running his fingers down her cheek and chin.

Second option taken for granted, the redhead arrived at the ballroom a little out of breath, his eyes searching for her everywhere,  and when he saw Sage his heart almost stopped. He didn’t care about the other girls wearing expensive, shiny dresses, not when all that his eyes could capture was how the ambient light made her hair perfect, her skin looked so smooth, even from a distance, and the dress was simply perfect for her. Everything so unreal, was she really real? He wouldn’t know until he got close enough. And for the first time he felt all his ego disappear, it was just him, a backward little boy approaching his inhumanly perfect date at a slow pace. “Hey, Sage.” He called after clearing his throat, his hand pulling the corsage out of his pocket and lifting it up to her hand, hoping she could forgive him for his delay. “Forgive me, so many things have happened. But I’m here.” @burnthesagc

Maia groaned as she came into the dorm, moving straight to her bed and planting herself on the mattress face first, a loud groan muffled by pillows. She let herself mope for a moment before she pushed herself up onto her elbows, looking over at her roommate with a pout. “I hate Spanish,” she whined, flipping over onto her back. “I don’t want to take it anymore. I quit.” // @redickson​

 his  comic  book  could  never  be  more  interesting  than  maia  and  her  scene .  red  adored  his  roommates ,  he  doubted  that  in  his  entire  life  he  would  be  so  compatible  with  three  other  humans  and  a  female  cat  yet  there  he  was .  “ i  can’t  believe  I’m  gonna  say  this ,  but  calm  down ,  relax .  you  can’t  give  up . ” red  started ,  sitting  on  his  own  bed ,  the  comic  thrown  in  the  opposite  direction .  “ you  could  find  a  tutor ? “

“Now that I know you have good intentions it still doesn’t make me like you one hundred percent, kangaroo boy.” Roxy throws another precise punch in the punching bag before glancing at the boy. “And you weren’t smart, I don’t want to sound rude so when you have another idea like that and intend to involve Lohri let me know beforehand, I happen to be a good consultant.” She contained an eye roll and held out her hand to him in behalf of good coexistence.

 “ if  i’m  a  kangaroo  boy ,  does  that  make  you  a  kangaroo  girl ?  And  how  many  percent  do  you  like  me  now ? ”  red  asked ,  his  eyebrows  arching  at  her  punch .  he  was  still  impressed  with  how  much  less  muscular  people  could  do  a  lot  of  damage  if  they  learned  to  use  force .  not  jedi-like  force ,  but  the  strength  of  the  body  itself .  “ right ,  you’re  absolutely  right ,  it  wasn’t  the  best  idea ,  but  at  least  i  didn’t  throw  the  shit  on  the  fan  like  you . ”  he  teased  and  shook  her  hand  in  spite  of  that ,  letting  it  go ,  he  positioned  himself  behind  the  punching  bag  and  motioned  for  her  to  continue  hitting .  “ i  was  right  about  the  girls  talking  too  much  after  all . ”?

“So,” Rowan said, moving to sit down across from him at the table outside, placing her notebook down in front of her and placed her elbow against the wood, her hand holding her chin up as she looked over at him. “Were you just bullshitting me or do you want me to help you with this tattoo? Because I’m down, but I’m not going to let you waste my time.” // @redickson

  red  ends  up  letting  a  snicker  escape  his  lips  watching  the  other  redhead  settle  on  the  table  .  “ i  wasn’t  bullshitting  anyone ,  i’m  totally  interested  in  your  manual  services . ”  he  commented  casually ,  noticing  the  duality  in  his  words  shortly  thereafter .  “ i  mean ,  your  ability  to  draw ,  please . ”  he  shook  his  head ,  running  a  hand  through  his  hair .  “so  you  need  some  theme  right? ”
