Flamey Fires

           “Or we cut all that boring crap you just spoke of and go in all guns blazing and catch them completely off-guard?” [ It’s just an idea —- not a particulary good one but it kinda makes sense. In some ways. ] “And thanks for the compliment, Willow.”

"But wouldn't that mean their trap worked?"  Maybe they wouldn't expect it?  Buffy had charged in guns blazing before.  Worked for her.  Sure she's a slayer and so is Faith, but not Willow.  Well she does have magic on her side if needed.  IF.  Stakes are always good though.  "You're welcome."

Well this was making Willow a little uncomfortable.  Might as well leave.  No unwelcome eyes on her agenda.  A mental note was made of his appearance before turning on her way.  Out of sight and out of mind.

Willow broke her gaze with the pencil and looked at the man before her.  No reason to freak out or anything, right?  He didn't seem alarmed at all.  "Oh thanks.  Are you a fan of magicians?"  Not exactly a good think to come out and admit she was a witch to random people.  Even if she had put a stop to meddling in the black arts.  Almost burning at the stake and almost destroying the world should be enough red flags.  

                    “I think it’s a trap… For me and Buffy.” [ Her eyebrows furrow in annoyance as she turned towards Willow. ] “Do you have anything interesting to say or are you gonna’ go on about how I’m doomed?”

"By who?  If it's a trap we should analyze it.  Maybe even try to lure whoever is behind it out."  Didn't really surprise her that Faith would ask the second question.  "Oh I know you're not doomed, you're one tough bitch."  Willow nodded with the bitch part, trying to sound a little more assertive.

              “I can’t take all of them out… There’s too many.”

"What happened?  Why are there so many?"  Willow asked as she came towards the brunette.  "I know you're a Slayer, but you should be more careful. "

He hadn’t meant to stare. In fact, he hadn’t really noticed the woman at first. But then her pencil started to twirl on it’s own. How could he do anything but watch? Daniel was no stranger to magic. Both his father and his sister were well-versed in magic. But he stayed clear from it, sue to the fact he had mostly encountered the dark side of magic. It was something he wished to avoid. But magic pencil twirling? That hardly shouted darkness.

A feeling surrounded Willow, just the feeling of not being alone, and she was openly using her gift.  Her eyes went right to the person watching and she immediately put on a shy smile.  For a second the pencil left her mind when she looked at the person before her.  Just as quickly she grabbed the pencil and put it in her notebook.  "I thought I was alone, sorry."

                  ” ——— A little help down here.”

"What do you need help with, Faith?  I'll do what I can." Willow replied.

Being friends with Buffy had taught Willow to be a little more perceptive of her surroundings.  Not to blow off being looked at, followed, or just weird noises.  Being watched for to long did make her feel rather uncomfortable, but this was no where near that long quite yet.  Willow raised her hand in a gesture to say hi and smiled in a friendly way. 

"No, no, no, no Angel was killing people we cared about.  I was wrong, but I was out for revenge for Tara.  You should be glad you missed it.  I don't even like remembering what happened."
