HE CAN’T HELP BUT SNORT. “god, every time you call ash pretty i think i die a little inside.” casey’s joking of course ------ but it is one of the many reasons asher worked his way up to second in command. and how he scored sol. he rubs his eyes, ignoring how tired he feels for just another moment as he looks up at rick, true smile on his face. “wow, we start sharing a bed again and suddenly you’re CODEPENDENT. not a healthy look.” he’d be lying if he said he could sleep alone. okay, maybe this work could wait a few hours while he battled sleep once again. it feels just like when he was a detective, only this is the opposite end of the law. “alright, alright, but if things go screwy tomorrow and my boys get shot, i’m gonna kill you.”

CASEY’S A LIGHT SLEEPER. if you can even call what he does sleeping ------ more often than not he’s hovering on falling asleep, terrified of what his mind is going to show him. it helps on nights like this though. the door opens, and he’s already on high alert, though he knows only a few people could even get into the compound he’s staying in to begin with. turning over, he blinks, seeing verity standing by the side of his bed. verity, the beautiful girl that bruce wayne was going to warp into yet another robin, ANOTHER BROKEN MESS. immediately he’s shifting over, pulling the covers back, not even needing her to ask.
