In any tomato based sauce, vodka, or any strong alcohol doesn't make the dish taste more like alcohol, it releases alcohol soluble elements from the tomato itself, making it taste sweeter, richer and more tomato than even just tomatoes themselves, this adds acidity, which is often tempered by the addition of dairy (usually heavy cream) a la vodka is not a delicate sauce, but any means, it's made with a full intention of every major ingredient hitting well above it's weight. And if you want it even better, try using a good botanical gin or a pepper vodka for even more intensity.

Here's an idea,
So, some people say 'I'm a dog person', and some people say 'I'm a cat person', and some people say 'I'm both!' But I'm thinking like..
Maybe you should LEARN how to love both, because you can learn a lot from the different ways to meet your animal's needs, the different ways they think, and express themselves.
LEARN to be the 'I'm both!'
But THEN
Then recognize which one of the two your personality is MORE similar to... and get the OPPOSITE.
Because the difference is what will make you better able to take care of each other, being able to naturally do things that the other struggles with.
If you're severely introverted? Get a dog. A Dog will make it easier for you to connect with other people, because he's more extroverted.
If you're very active and a little chaotic, get a cat. Because a cat can much more easily handle you coming and going multiple times a day, and help you slow down and enjoy the quiet together.
Also, this is a really broad sweeping generalization and all animals have different personalities, so BE AWARE of that.
It's just a thought I had.

not gonna fuckin say it again
i don’t remember posting this but to this day i have not said it again so mission accomplished i guess
Stagnant is a really terrible word choice, marinades are about flavor and if sufficiently acidic can penetrate and tenderize about a quarter inch into the meat, while brines use salt to make meat tender and juicy all the way through but impart relatively little flavor other than risk of over salting.
You want to avoid brining and marinating at the same time, but brining first, then marinating can make for some exquisite cooking. Also don’t switch the order, brining second will steal the marinade flavors, and for thinner cuts a marinade might be all you need anyway.
I’m relieved this post has some good replies rejecting this brine propoganda.
Sometimes I wonder if there's an alternate reality version of me.. who married a different man.. and she's so, so happy..
Alright Booklr, I'm moving soon and I need your help deciding...
How should I (or how do you) organise your bookshelves??
No genre separation, sorted alphabetically by author last name
Separation of genre, sorted alphabetically by author last name
Rainbow shelves (how??? What about series?)
Size order (again, how?? What about series?)
My shelves are chaos, there is no sorting them
Other (please explain in the tags)
Vanilla Extract
Thank you so much for your help!
(please reblog for bigger sample size)
