Right Ho, Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse
Gussie Fink-Nottle has locked himself away in the country studying newts ever since he came into his estate. So it is a surprise when Bertie hears that Gussie is not only in London, but he is there to woo Madeline Bassett! At odds with Jeeves over the decorum of a white jacket, Bertie decides to take on Gussie's problem himself. Off to Brinkley Court, Bertie must deal with the prize-giving at Market Snodsbury Grammar School, the broken engagement of his cousin Angela, and the resignation of Anatole, his aunt's genius chef. Will Jeeves be able to sort out the mess?
I've been sitting on this bind for a while. It was typeset last year as a gift for my dad, but then I promptly forgot to take any pictures of that copy. (Just as well, seeing as I put the wrong title on the cover. No, I don't want to talk about it.) This is my copy, which I finished in June and finally photographed last week.
Honestly, the most fun part of this bind was discovering while I was typesetting that when Right Ho, Jeeves was originally published in the US, it was serialized in the Saturday Evening Post. And when the Post was publishing it, they published it with illustrations! I had to go digging back in the Post archives to find the right issues, but I did manage to find all the illustrations and include them in the bind. As far as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a published version of this book that includes them (which is a shame—they're lovely!). Well, except for this one, I guess.
