TWD, Cegan, & General Nonsense

I’m Tee, I’m in my twenties, and my main ship was Cegan from TWD for a long time (I’m still writing Cegan on AO3 but have moved onto other fandoms on Tumblr). I’ve written many fics and prompts, and made a few video edits. Links in bio.

My fics are entertaining, violent, smutty, or some combination, but they won’t break your heart because I don’t do serious stuff well 😂 so if you’re in need of a pick-me-up or needlessly detailed backstories, my fics might be for you. There’s usually nothing morally or legally wrong with the Cegan in my fics (everyone’s legal, there’s no power dynamics etc; it would be unconventional but fine in real life) but occasionally I do surprise myself with the most reprehensible, unforgivable stonker of a storyline/situation, so always read the tags!

Prompts! My prompts can be specific but if you’re tempted to fill one, feel free to use as much or as little of the prompt as you’d like. My ideas tend to run away with me and *every single detail* ends up in the prompt 😂

It’s important that Carl (and everyone involved in my ships) is usually 18+ but always 17+. I’m a proshipper so I’m fine coexisting with people who write him/like it when he’s younger, but I don’t interact with content like that, nor would I defend it. However I also won’t yell at them through a keyboard (again, proshipper and also just… generally apathetic). The actor’s age matters, not the canonical character’s.

But the thing I learned was that it’s reeeeeally difficult to write smut for a ship you don’t have any feelings towards/connection with. It was challenging but not too difficult to write them becoming closer as friends, but I was totally lost while trying to write the few paragraphs of mild smut. The overall plot completely gripped me, and I’m pretty proud of the budding friendships between the main characters, but I definitely didn’t do the ship justice! 

With Cegan, I watched their tension and size difference in 7x07 and after sleeping on it, I came back and said ‘okay HOT. These two need to kiss RIGHT NOW’ and after reading mostly smut and seeing what others said about their similarities and potential, I was like ‘okay they would actually make a great ship, these two could be good for each other and they could actually work’. 

Olive👏 deserved👏 better👏

I have lots of mixed feelings about the finale but the grim implications regarding Olive’s (and Eden’s) future hit hardest. 

Negan has a little cinema in the Sanctuary (basically a cupboard with a TV and comfy chairs. Carl watches at least one per day while he’s staying there, and is enthralled by films. He desperately wants to make his own. Negan has a spare camera and gives it to Carl, he wants to make him happy but is mostly just curious about what he’ll come up with. He hopes Carl will be the new Tarantino. He wonders if Tarantino is still alive…

After a week of Carl writing, planning and beginning the filming process with Enid, Negan and whoever else he can drag into his project, Negan suggests they film a sex tape (he’s thinking about making and distributing porn and Savior content for a hefty price, and this is his prototype). After, Negan copies the video from the camera, but he accidentally leaves the original.

Let’s say the camera has basic built-in editing software where you can basically just reorder and cut the clips. Guess which video Carl doesn’t remove while editing his film because he thought Negan deleted it!

Weeks later, Carl is ready to make his directorial/acting debut. He’s proud of the short film he’s created, and he and props/costume designer/actress Enid stand in front of a crowd of Alexandrians and Saviors to present their film.

Of course, halfway through, they reach… the video. Negan had cropped the start of it to cut out him fumbling with the camera and setting things up, and the video starts when they’re essentially in the middle of sex, meaning there’s no time for Carl to quickly turn it off before anyone sees Negan fucking him into the mattress.

I rarely see people (onscreen or irl) who are just… big like him. Lots of tall people, lots of broad people, but rarely do the twain meet. This man’s stature is exquisite, and I’m pretending he’s a firefighter or construction worker or something. *Sighs dreamily*

Howeverrrrr when the off-grid cottage-core living off the land bullshit sets in, I’d take a swan dive off the roof or use my last bullet to tap out. No way I’m living like that lmao.

Eighteen-year-old Negan kills his terrible stepdad to protect his mum. Perhaps stepdad’s relatives arrive during the fight and Negan kills them too in a fit of rage, thus attracting an almost thirty year prison sentence from a judge who hates him. Anyway he’s got some major internalised homophobia despite being *super* bisexual and absolutely refuses to be ‘gay for the stay’ in prison.

He comes out of prison mid-forties, either a virgin or sexually inexperienced, completely resolved to never sleeping with a man.

Carl comes along, a bit of a slut bless him, out and proud, and allows Negan to be his roommate while he’s navigating life on the outside. It starts off fine, but Negan is always silently judging Carl. Then while getting to know Carl, he starts to develop feelings for him that he doesn’t want to acknowledge, so he’s either kinda mean to Carl or he completely avoids him. He sometimes hears Carl and his various conquests through the bedroom wall and gets curious, then hates himself for it, but Carl’s gay and he’s not so bad so Negan hates himself for hating himself for getting curious.

Months pass, Negan is too busy with the only job that would hire him to think about dating or even hooking up. Negan finally allows himself to accept his own feelings for Carl. The boy’s flirting is getting obvious and Negan can’t help but just… fall into it. Negan hasn’t kissed anyone in decades, and Carl seems to realise this immediately because he has to teach him how to kiss, and shortly after, how to fuck.

I just watched Sinners and absolutely loved it. The soundtrack is to die for 🧛 after adding it to my fave films list, I did a little check on AO3 to see if there were any fics for it (hoping to read about Sammie’s life directly after the events of the film; he’s not getting over that in a hurry lmao. Also I need more of Remmick being unhinged). I assumed there wouldn’t be many, maybe eighty at the most because TV shows and film series tend to get more fics than individual films…

Side note: there’s something about vampires, man. Why are they so hot in almost every piece of media? Vampirism turns sixes into tens. Anyway. Remmick, Bo and Stack as vampires will live rent free in my head for, well, eternity I guess.

They could have channels for individual callings; when someone gets a calling, they make a new channel and whoever else shared the calling can join. Once the calling is solved, write up everything that happened in a detailed message for posterity and transparency, then make the channel read-only.

And of course there’d be a few permanent channels for general chatting, grief for their lost years, complaints about their situation, memes etc. TJ knows how Discord works so Ben puts him in charge of managing the server.

I want to see Saanvi sharing memes containing five-syllable medical terminology that no one understands but she thinks is hilarious.

I want to see Mikaela with her head in her hands because passengers won’t stop admitting to calling-related breaking and entering and other crimes they shouldn’t be confessing in the presence of an NYPD detective.

I want to see Eagan trolling people and Ben trying to use his mod powers to mute him but realising he can’t because Eagan is good at solving callings and they need him. Eagan knows this and pushes Ben’s limits.

I want to see Cal Rickrolling every single person in the server.

I want to see Adrian trying to recruit people for his church and Eagan creating a custom fly swat emoji to stop him in his tracks. Almost every time Adrian messages, he’s met with a hundred fly swat emojis, or something similar.

I want to see passengers promoting their businesses and bands, recommending random films and podcasts, having technical difficulties, treating the server like a dating app, and using the wrong channels to talk about irrelevant things.
