Iâm doin another Peter Parker cause we luv him- so uh Peter Parker one-shot fluff <//3
A/N : I had fun writing this! Enjoy :)
You were sitting at your desk, staring down at your chem honors homework, head in your hands. You let out a groan, head flopping down to bang against the desk. You were stuck on the third question, not understanding anything about the problem. You huffed as you picked your head back up, âIâll do it laterâ you mumbled as you moved to your bed, flopping down on it gently.
The frame squeaked and groaned under your weight, but you didn't pay attention to that. The only thing your ears could pick up was the loud noises of honking and yelling outside your fire escape. âAh, the sweet sounds of new york,â you joked to yourself, letting out a soft giggle.
Suddenly you heard a soft, âtap tapâ on your window. Normally, it would be too quiet for a normal person's ears to pick up, especially in New York, but you've heard the same âtap tapâ for the last 2 months or so that you've grown accustomed to the sound.
You quickly got up on your knees, leaning over to open your window. Soon, a boy dressed in red and blue spandex climbed into your window, staying quick and quiet. You smiled, willing your window shut as the masked boy sat down next to you on your bed. Once you locked it, you turned to him, a large smile on your face.
âHey Peterâ you said, still smiling. He quickly ripped his mask off, wearing a large, goofy grin on his face. âHey beautifulâ he said in a low, practiced tone. You giggled once more, leaning over to kiss his cheek. âSo, what's on the agenda for today?â you asked him, leaning back against your wall as you hugged a pillow in your lap. He thought for a moment, making a soft humming sound.
âWanna make cupcakes? It's Aunt May's birthday Friday and I want to do something special for her. Plus, it'll save us moneyâ he shrugged. You quickly nodded, âIâd love to!â You had always loved baking. When you were younger, you would help your mom bake, making cookies, cupcakes, bread, macaroons, etc.
You hopped out of bed, grabbing Peters hand and dragging him out. He quickly stopped you gently, âI should change firstâ he said, blushing a little bit. You yourself blushed, having completely forgotten that he was wearing his suit. âOh, uhm yeah, sorry. You know where the bathroom isâ You nodded, watching him run back to your room to grab his backpack where he kept his clothes.
You turned around, moving to the kitchen as you started to grab everything you needed to make cupcakes. You were making them from scratch, following an old recipe your mom had written out on a slip of parchment paper.
Soon you felt two soft hands wrap around your waist, and a chin resting on your shoulder. âWell hello thereâ you laughed, pressing into his embrace. âHey beautifulâ he repeated from earlier. He placed a soft kiss to your cheek before pulling away, moving next to you.
âOkay, where do I start?â He asked, looking at everything laying out on the counter. You quickly moved to the sink and started to wash your hands, âfirst, we wash our hands.â He nodded, âoh.. forgot about that stepâ he rubbed the back of his head, making his hair floof up even more. His curls had come out, making him look like a fluffy golden retriever.
Once you both washed your hands, it was time to get working. You quickly set the oven on 350°F, then pointed to the cupcake tun. âPut the liners into the tin for me,â you said. He followed your instructions, his tongue poking out slightly as he worked. While he was doing that, you grabbed the large bowl you kept in the cabinet and started to add the ingredients. Your movements were quick and practiced, catching Peter's eye and making him stare at you in awe for about 20 seconds until you noticed.
âWhat?â you asked with an embarrassed smile. âNothing, nothing. It's just so cool how you can do that so easily!â he gushed with his own embarrassed grin. You blushed even more than you already were, shaking your head slightly as you spoke, âit's nothing special, anyone could do itâ you shrugged your shoulders as you mixed. He quickly stopped you, grabbing your hands gently. âHey, don't- donât put yourself down like that. You're amazing.â He said quietly, his soft and gentle eyes staring into yours.
Your eyes widened as you listened, small tears filling your eyes. âI.. thank youâ you stuttered softly, a few tears finally falling. He noticed you were crying and quickly placed his hand on your cheek, wiping the tears. âHey- hey itâs okay. Donât cry beautiful,â he said, pulling you into a tight hug.
You relaxed into his embrace, muttering a soft âsorry.â He shook his head, âdonât worry beautiful. Itâs okay to not be okay sometimes.â He kissed your head. You pulled away, âyou really are perfectâ you spoke softly, smiling as you looked up at him. âEh, guess soâ he shrugged with a grin. You both laughed, breaking the heavy mood.
âLetâs get back to making your aunt these cupcakes yeah?â You asked, pulling away. He nodded and you both got to work.
Soon you had finished, the cupcakes cooling on top of the counter. âSo when can we decorate them?â Peter asked you, touching the top of the cupcake with his finger. You giggled, âthey have to cool for a few minutes, then we canâ he nodded, coming over to you.
He gently put his hands on your waist, looking down at you. You smiled again, pressing your forehead to his. You both closed your eyes as you relaxed in each other's holds, listening to each other's chests rise and fall.
You stood there for a while, losing yourselves in each other's hold. Suddenly the timer for the cupcakes went off, startling you and Peter. He quickly shut it off, turning to you after. âSo NOW can we decorate the cupcakes?â He asked, bouncing on his feet in excitement. You laughed and nodded, âyes, yes we can peter. Hand me the icing pleaseâ
He handed you the chocolate and vanilla icing you kept in the fridge. You had recently made some homemade icing for your sugar cookies, and you decided to keep the extra. Now you knew that it was a good idea.
You grabbed the pastry piping bag, putting the icing in there quickly. You handed it to him, grabbing your second one to put the chocolate in. âGo ahead and start. Just squeeze until some comes out then stop when you think is rightâ you said to him. He nodded and started, squeezing the bag like you said. He made sure not to do it too hard, like the last time he helped you. That was a messâŚ
Once you got the chocolate icing in, you moved next to him to start icing the remaining cupcakes. He called your name, making you look up at him. As soon as you did, he wiped icing onto your nose, an amused smile on his face. You gasped, âPeter!â You couldnât help yourself, letting a laugh escape as you tried to look angry.
You quickly retaliated, wiping some chocolate icing onto his cheek. âOh itâs on!â He said, getting some more to put on you. You quickly ran into the living room, cackling as he chased you. âNo- no wait Iâm sorry!â You laughed, hopping over the couch. You knew he could've grabbed you if he wanted to, but he didnât, letting you run and have fun.
After a bit of chasing you held your hand up, panting. âO-okay.. you winâ you used the couch to hold yourself up, out of breath from the chase. He laughed, holding his hand out. âTruce?â He asked. You nodded and shook his hand, getting icing on your own hand. You glared at him playfully, and he held his hands up in surrender, âsorry sorry, I forgotâ he grinned at you.
You just rolled your eyes and went back into the kitchen, Peter following you. âLetâs get these cupcakes done,â you said, wiping your hands. You grabbed the icing pipe, and got started on them. Peter followed in suit, copying you while he hummed.
Later in the day you two were sitting on top of a building, watching the sunset. âThank you for todayâ Peter murmured into your hair, as his head was resting against it. âNo, thank you. I had funâ you smiled, closing your eyes. You felt safe here, in his gentle hold. He cupped your cheek gently, smiling at you nervously. You giggled, opening your eyes and leaning up slowly to press your lips together.
Peter melted in the embrace, kissing back softly. He loved your kisses, and so did you. They were soft, and full of love, just how it was meant to be. Peter didnât need his âPeter tingleâ to tell that he was in love with you, he just knew.
